BMW 8-Series

A carryover from the 1996 model year, BMW‘s flagship 1997 8-Series went on sale in June of this year. This large sports coupe debuted in 1990, and is very much a niche product, with sales of approximately 1,000 annually. With a price that can get into six figures, it's not surprising that the typical 8-Series buyer has an annual income in the $180,000 range. Fewer than one in ten 8-Series buyers are female. The 8-Series has a list of standard features so extensive that only one factory option is available: 16-inch by 7.5-inch forged alloy unidirectional wheels.
