The cube is Nissan’s functional entry-level compact vehicle with a unique asymmetrical exterior design and what Nissan describes as a lounge-style interior design. On sale in Japan for more than 10 years, the third-generation cube is the first to be available for the U.S. market. While the original cube was referred to as a box-on-wheels, the second generation added more glass, additional power and more angles and curves to the exterior design. Not just a distinctive design element, the newest cube which comes to the U.S. market features a wraparound window at the right rear that also improves visibility for the driver. Inside, the cube is surprisingly roomy with a rear seat for three passengers that can be adjusted to maximize either passenger or cargo room.
