The Fusion is Ford’s midsize sedan that is redesigned for the 2013 model year with a sleek silhouette and a bold new look designed to add more emotional appeal. Beyond the design, the focus is on fuel efficiency and innovative technology. Two EcoBoost turbocharged engines are offered as well as hybrid and plug-in hybrid models. New technology includes a Lane Keeping System, available Auto Start-Stop, adaptive cruise control, active park assist and MyFord Touch. The Fusion goes on sale first in the North American market and will be sold as the Ford Mondeo in other world markets. Fusion first joined the Ford lineup for the 2006 model year between the full-size Five Hundred and the compact Focus. The original design was inspired by the Ford 427 concept car, including the bold three bar grille and the multi-element projector-beam headlights.
