The Legacy is a roomy sedan that rides and handles well and gets good fuel economy. But updates to the suspension have hurt the ride quality. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine now gets 26 mpg overall. The CVT accentuates engine noise, particularly on the highway. The 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine and five-speed automatic are carried over. The Legacy is the least-expensive AWD family sedan available, and showcases the EyeSight driver-assist system, with adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, and lane departure warning. The base trim now has an upgraded audio system with Bluetooth, but the optional navigation system is not very intuitive.
