Ride, rear visibility, cargo area.
The FX stands out with bold styling, an eager powertrain, and responsive handling. The 3.5-liter V6 provided plenty of power and got 18 mpg overall in our tests. For 2013 it has been upgraded to a 3.7-liter V6. Body roll is well suppressed, although the FX isn't exactly agile. The ride is quite stiff. The fairly roomy cabin is well-finished and mostly quiet, except for the engine note. However, the curvy styling hurts visibility and robs cargo space. A wide array of optional high-tech safety features includes autonomous braking and forward-collision warning. The surround-view camera system gives a bird's-eye view of the car while parking.
