2012 GMC Acadia LT V6
ConsumerReports.org® Overview
Highs: Interior room and flexibility, ride, handling, quietness, usable third-row seat, blind-spot mirrors, crash-test results.
Lows: Rear visibility, front head restraints, fuel economy, wet braking.

The Acadia has a spacious and quiet interior, with a very roomy third-row seat. Its smooth and refined 3.6-liter V6 returned 16 mpg overall in tests of the similar Chevrolet Traverse. The automatic sometimes hesitates to downshift when needed. Front- and all-wheel-drive versions are available. In our tests of the Traverse we found the ride comfortable and handling responsive. Fit and finish is very good. Rear visibility isn't great because of a tall and small rear window. Reliability has been below average.
