Intended primarily for commercial use, this tall van is based on the Focus and was designed by Ford of Europe. It packs an impressive amount of room inside a small footprint. It steers nicely and has a commanding driving position. The tall body, low floor, and sliding doors on each side provide easy access. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is strained, even with an empty load, but should easily best larger vans at the gas pump. Although you can get a version with a rear seat, the lack of rear side windows and a noisy Spartan interior limit its appeal as a family vehicle.
