A great car... for an Izuzu... by Bill from Wyoming on 08/20/2008. Trim: 2001 Isuzu VehiCROSS VehiCROSS, Owned 5 years.
Pros: Attention grabber, nicely appointed interior, still pretty rare.
Cons: Ugly as sin.
Overall review: A great car. If it wasn't for the strange front end, it'd even be kinda cute.

Half SUV / Half sports car by Todd from Detroit on 04/08/2004. Trim: 2001 Isuzu VehiCROSS VehiCROSS, Owned 3 years.
Pros: Totally unique looking. Handles like a sports car, especially the great steering. Great in snowy conditions. Nice leather interior. Very good warranty, and what's more, I've never needed it, nothing's gone wrong yet :)
Cons: Limited rear visibility (get Van eyes mirrors, they're inexpensive and solve the problem). Could use a little more headroom. Not easy to climb into and out of the backseat (but then, this isn't the type of vehicle you take your grandmother out in).
Overall review: Awesome SUV, awesome value, especially at the price you can get it for now.

Granddaddy of the current crossover craze - took the competition awhile. by jake on 06/07/2003. Trim: 2001 Isuzu VehiCROSS VehiCROSS, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Ahead of its time, look at the Infiniti FX45/35 or Lexus RX300 or450. Shame on Isuzu for not promoting it more...who buys a Trooper anyway?
Cons: Isuzu should have left the rear view cam in the US version - why have it in the Japanese version but not US is beyond me? Also, the dashboard could have been "teched" up more. This one's OK for a Rodeo, but come on - why not have a dash that matches the overall character of the vehicle. Finally, it could have used a triptonic - like shifter to max out the torque, etc.
Overall review: Inspite of Isuzu's failings - marketing & distibution - the Vehicross is one hell of a vehicle by any standard. If they were smart, Isuzu would reintroduce it in the US and promote the hell out of it. I have had the 2001 model with 30k on it and I am at a loss to find an alternative to consider for a successor, maybe a lifted, highly modified 4x4 version of the Nissan 350Z? (I can only dream)

You can't have mine and probably nobody else's... by Ron T. from Phoenix, AZ on 03/12/2003. Trim: 2001 Isuzu VehiCROSS VehiCROSS, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Rides like a sports car on the road, and like a Hummer off of it!
Cons: (No data provided)
Overall review: The best vehicle I have ever owned and the most fun to drive since my Nissan 300ZX. A real head-turner...most people have never seen one, and mine is one of only 4-5 known in a city of 3.5 million.
