Pros:
Ahead of its time, look at the Infiniti FX45/35 or Lexus RX300 or450. Shame on Isuzu for not promoting it more...who buys a Trooper anyway?
Cons:
Isuzu should have left the rear view cam in the US version - why have it in the Japanese version but not US is beyond me? Also, the dashboard could have been "teched" up more. This one's OK for a Rodeo, but come on - why not have a dash that matches the overall character of the vehicle. Finally, it could have used a triptonic - like shifter to max out the torque, etc.
Overall review:
Inspite of Isuzu's failings - marketing & distibution - the Vehicross is one hell of a vehicle by any standard. If they were smart, Isuzu would reintroduce it in the US and promote the hell out of it. I have had the 2001 model with 30k on it and I am at a loss to find an alternative to consider for a successor, maybe a lifted, highly modified 4x4 version of the Nissan 350Z? (I can only dream)

The best vehicle I have ever owned and the most fun to drive since my Nissan 300ZX. A real head-turner...most people have never seen one, and mine is one of only 4-5 known in a city of 3.5 million.

Difficult Rear entrance. small trunk, noise from ski rack when driving over 30mph.
