A very nice Vehicle

Pros:
I love the comfort of this vehicle. My 84 year old Mom prefers to ride in my car because it's easier for her to get in and out of with her many disabilities. I love all the power controls and the stero system. The car is quiet, reliable and looks great.
Cons:
The Northstar engine uses a LOT of oil. I change my oil every 3 months-3,000 miles and have to add at least 2 quarts of oil between changes. I had to have one of the motors on the power window replaced and that was pricy! I have had very few repairs but the ones I have had to make have been expensive. Currently the "Leather" dash is letting go - The glue is not holding and this is not covered by their warranty.
Overall review:
I love the car but wish it got better gas mileage. This is my 2nd Caddy and I have loved them both - but times, they are a changing. Caddy makers need to recognize this fact and add some new, fuel efficient models to their line-up.

Good, big car

Pros:
I loved the looks of this car when I first looked at it. I wanted a luxury sedan and that is definitely what I got. I love how the seats wrap to your body, I love how clear the headlights are for driving at night. The sound quality of the BOSE speakers is phenomenal compared to any other vehicle I've been in. It is a huge car but very easy to maneuver with the help of the back-up sensors and excellent mirrors.
Cons:
The only problem I have had with my own was prior to buying it I did not get an inspection done it, only after did I because I started hearing a slight gurgling coming from the engine when accelerating. Hindsight is always 20/20 right? It ended up being the head gasket as well as numerous other seals and gaskets within the engine needing replacement. One big bill later and it's back to being like new.
The only other issue I have had with the car is that I live in a big city and it is a little big for some of the roads but people are often kind enough to get out of my way. :)
Overall review:
Overall, it is a beautiful car to drive, very smooth. I am about to put firmer tires on it to help with the whole 'boat' feeling (and I prefer hard tires on my cars, and this one the suspension can definitely handle it). I would just strongly recommend getting an inspection done prior to buying as there are several small, but big, problems that can occur in the engine (specifically look for oil floating in the coolant reserve, or for little black blobs floating around it or sticking to the edges of it)...it becomes a very costly fix but you won't regret it! Between this car and my 1993 Toyota Camry, combined city and highway driving (my daily commute) they both get about the same mileage (in a 25km highway and 10km city, they both get about 27mpg). And with the fuel capacity of the Caddy, you can go quite a long time without refilling.

Pros:
My car has over 200,000 miles on it, and all I've done to it is replace the front, and read rotors, and both brakes, and brake pad, and 4 new tires,. Oh , and one serpentine belt.... I change my oil every 3,000 miles and add an extra quart of oil every 1,000 miles as well. The car looks, and runs, like a gem !!
Cons:
The candles,(or interior lights on the dash and steering ) constantly burn out after about 3 months....
Overall review:
The car is by far the best Caddy, I've ever owned, and I've had 6 caddys prior....

DHS -Noise when backing up?

Pros:
The styling is magnificant, the lines of the car are so pretty that I often feel as if I am looking at a piece of art.
Cons:
The ride isn't as soft as my 1999 Deville or my 1986 Deville but it is OK. The main problem I have is with a noise when I back up. The Dealer can't seem to find it when I take the car in for maintenance and that is annoying but I am hopefull that at some point whatever is causing it will become worse and continuous so that it can be fixed.
Overall review:
I am enjoying this vehicle and hope that it will give me very few long term problems or if there are any that the Dealer will act responsibily and fix them with out making me pay a professional negotiator.
