Black and silky smooth by yakeet in Minneapolis on 12/20/2010. Trim: 2001 Cadillac Eldorado ETC, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: The car feels great, looks great, has been trouble free, goes through the snow and slippery streets with winter tires without effort. It's kind of like a mink. Soft and smooth and silky, but mean with razor teeth.
Cons: The transmission shift is soft and almost unnoticeable which is the way it's supposed to be. I like crisper shifts that would result in better performance and fuel economy. I get a wind whistle at the window seal that only requires letting the window down an inch and putting it back up again. The door panels were loose from the previous owner. If you don't remove the panels by the book you will break clips and if you don't replace them the panel is going to move when the door is opened or closed.
Overall review: Mine is black on black and is gorgeous. It's so comfortable and has all the features that I want in a car. It catches peoples eye which isn't a feature so much as that it tells you others think it's pretty hot looking too. It crawls through 6" of snow without the traction assist kicking in with the Michelin Ice XI2 tires. I do get some ice build up on the wipers that might be avoided with a different style of blade. The door panel clips were broken when I got the car and it sounds like it's a common problem if someone takes the panels off that doesn't know what they are doing.
