Millenia , smoothest ride ever! by Mikey on 10/05/2008. Trim: 2001 Mazda Millenia S, Owned 3 years.
Pros: This car is FAST, 210 HP with the S, I am from Ont, it is not a winter by any means , however adequate. Summer car is awesome, it is sleak sleak sleak , lovely interior, nice understated looks exterior,, but moon roof , 17 wheels, superchraged , makes this car valuable. They got it right in 2001.... then discontinued,, hmmmmm. Thanks Mike No new Mazda 6 is as nice,, NONE.
Cons: maintenance is costly.
Overall review: Excellent car, in line with high end Toyota, Acura, Maxxima. Great val..

Tight car by saint from Ohio on 02/14/2007. Trim: 2001 Mazda Millenia S, Owned 6 years.
Pros: I have the car for 5mouths. It is at 104k miles. -Handling: surprises the passengers if their first trip with me. The multilink 4 independent suspension with two sway bars make the car VERY tight on all road conditions. Monocoque case is another reason for good handling i guess. -Engine: miller cycle is very quiet, and gas saver (compared to same power cars). I like the low end tork. Dont need to rev it for tork just touching throttle gives me what i want. Max power at 5300, compare with some others that maxes power at 7500rpm. It warms up the cabin quick so you dont freeze in the morning, and no humid on windows. I like the supercharger whispering. -Rich interior: this is not an all-p
Cons: -Mazda cars dont like parts other than original, mazda parts are expensive (last longer though) -Harder than average to work on engine (more labor) - Big car, hard to fit while parking. Small interior, one expect more space from such a big car. Milly being low makes interior not so roomy. -One headlight is yellowed. -Coil on plug system is good but it fries the coil packs. -If driven harshly supercharger doesnt last too long. If looking for a used one, double check the s/c before buying! (Dealer replaces it for about $8000). But this is the case for 2-3% of all millies.
Overall review: This is an excellent used car. No chattering squeezing at 104k miles! Quiter than brand new camry, civic in that respect. I dont have winter package it would be good. All in all, this is a luxury car, so even regular repairs cost more as expected. But if taken good care, it is very reliable.

2001 Mazda Millenia "S" by Florida Bill on 05/12/2005. Trim: 2001 Mazda Millenia S, Owned 1 year.
Pros: I picked up my 01 Millenia "S" on Ebay back in Jan 04 with 19K miles so it was practically brand new. I knew I had to have one from the first time I saw one. I love just about everything about it and have had very minor problems with it. I change oil every 3K and got the lifetime 4 wheel alignment from Firestone for about $130.00 you can't beat that since everytime you get this done it costs between $50 to $90. I love the Miller cycle that will push you down the road comfortably with the 110+ horses, knowing this I never heasitate on passing any car on the road with ease. The interior has great quality and the exterior has great styling, snow white pearl color really shines and sparkles.
Cons: Eng light came on but Mazda dealer troubleshot and replaced cat converter for free. Sunroof leaked and again dealer fixed it free of charge. I wish it had lighted control buttons on steering wheel and on board computer to tell you fuel consumption, direction etc.
Overall review: Overall awesome car I plan on keeping this one forever. If you take care of it maintenance wise it will never let you down. I recommend the "S" (supercharged) model to anyone that wants power, reliability, style and comfort.

Millienia the Car to Drive by A CarPoint Consumer on 08/19/2002. Trim: 2001 Mazda Millenia Base, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: (No data provided)
Cons: The door locks do not automatically lock when the vehicle is put into drive and the cruise and radio controls on the steering wheel do not light up for noght driving.
Overall review: I am really impressed with the tightness and ride that the Millenia provides. It has no road noise and has a very smooth ride over some very rough roads that I drive. The mileage is also very good for a luxury automobile and the 6 cylinder has plenty of pep. Would recommend this as a car to buy if you want luxury at a reasonable price!
