The first new car I ever owned by Pittsburgh Annie on 01/14/2008. Trim: 2001 Nissan Sentra GXE, Owned 6 years.
1
Pros: I have had no major problems with this vehicle in the 5 years I've owned it. By major problems, I mean costly engine, transmission, etc. (although there was a recall on it) I have taken this car on plenty of roadtrips totaling over 15,000 miles, and she never gave me a problem. Not to mention it was comfortable to sit in on those 12 hour trips.
Cons: Minor problems that I could live with were: Radio light only turns on when it wants to, shifter light is out, and the window motor had a little trouble (which the dealership fixed for free, and gave me a free rental to use for the day they kept it in the shop). One thing that did happen, was that the car completely shut off on me while I was driving. Come to find out there were 2 recalls on it- but the repairs were free, and I've had no problems since.
Overall review: Like I said- no major problems that I couldn't deal with. I lost my sentra to an accident, and even though I don't want to feel like I'm in the same car when I buy a new one..... I know it was good to me. The car buying world is tough, and I think it's a hit or miss every time.

Finally a good car! by Amanda from Tulsa on 09/20/2005. Trim: 2001 Nissan Sentra SE, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros: It handles great, gets pretty good gas mileage. I love the color, it's the prettiest blue ever! It's such a nice car.
Cons: Day I bought it the throttle positioning sensor broke and the clock screen doesn't always light up. Also, the change holder under the steering wheel, almost everytime I open it I pull it off accidentally. I also wish I could pull down the seats to the trunk from the inside.
Overall review: I *LOVE* this car! Except for not being able to see the clock at night (really annoying, but I think it's just a fuse) I think it's a really great car! It's actually made me hate driving less.

Smyrna? Did someone say Smyrna? by An MSN Autos Consumer on 12/13/2008. Trim: 2001 Nissan Sentra GXE, Owned 4 years.
Useful?
Pros: BULLETPROOF little car! Disappointed to see that MSN Autos claimed this vehicle built in Smyrna Tennessee...actually built in Mexico. 4 Years of trouble free motoring aside from front control arm bushings. Just change the oil and go! Been on several long trips without incident. Put over 100,000 miles on it and had the check engine light come on ONCE...(gas cap- under $20 to replace). Has better road capability than a Honda, cheaper to run than a Toyota...would recommend this car as a buy to anyone!
Cons: Factory stereo completely inadequate...upgrade to an aftermarket head unit!
Overall review: Will easily get another 100,000 miles of economical motoring from my Sentra!

Nissan Sentra SE - good car for the money by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/19/2008. Trim: 2001 Nissan Sentra SE, Owned 7 years.
Useful?
Pros: I have had no major issues with my Nissan Sentra and have really enjoyed driving this car. The only issues I had were - automatic window broke on driver's side (couldn't raise or lower window), needed to replace A/C hose around 140K miles, and horn broke....other than that, it's been very reliable. I really like the brakes, they are very responsive. I also like the fact that the car has a timing chain instead of a timing belt, saved a lot of money not having to replace a timing belt.
Cons: Nothing major - I wish it got a bit higher MPG
Overall review: Overall, I believe I got a good car for the money.
