My first Ford/4x4/V8

Pros:
I absolutely love this truck! It is my first Ford/full size/4x4 I have owned/driven. It handles relatively well. Acceleration is purty good even with the 5.0L. Mine has the 5spd manual. The XLT Lariat has all the goodies on it, which I love. The body is in excellent condition with no rust present anywhere at all. Engine runs strong and sounds awesome with the duel glasspacks on it. I would not trade this truck for a brand new truck any day. The 4x4 works flawlessly once I figured out how to engage it. In 4low the truck could not be stopped. I personally enjoy the rougher ride the truck offers. I would highly recommended this truck to anyone looking for a tough dependable truck.
Cons:
My main problem is a question I have for Ford... Where are the cupholders?! The power window and lock controls are kind of difficult to reach while going down the road. I also am surprised to have only 2spd wipers on this truck. The ride is a little bit bumpy, but it is an older 4x4, not a 4x4 car like they make for the wimps now. Gas mileage is not the best, but what do you expect from a 1990 full size 4x4 w/ a V8? The top plate on the transmission wore out and had to be replaced, but it was 20yrs old to.
Overall review:
This is the first full size truck that I have owned and I love it. Would not trade this truck for a brand new truck of any brand. The 4x4 works flawlessly even after 20yrs and the engine still runs good. Many aftermarket parts are available for this truck if you know where to look, so upgrading is pretty simple. It is a good dependable truck with a good bit of horsepower and torque. Properly maintained this truck should last for a very long time before needing major work done to it. This truck lacks the major headaches that are present in the new vehicles coming out. There are no sensors to monitor the sensors that monitor the sensors that monitor the sensors. I truly love this truck and plan on keeping it for a very long time.

1 Good Ford Truck

Pros:
It's a ford f-150 xlt lariat. it's been really good to me. it has a 5.0L EFI (302 V8) 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission (E4OD) fully loaded with all factory power options. icl. Tach/guages, light group, map/storage pockets. sliding back glass. It has close to 111,000 miles on it now. i haven't cut it any slack and still doesn't use a drop of oil. and still really clean for it's age.
Cons:
this is the second factory recall on the fuel system. can not use front fuel tank. because of a fuel cross flow condition. causing unused fuel from the rear tank to be returned to the front tank. causing the fuel pump in the front tank to stop working properley. alowing it to become overfull with fuel and leak out of the filler cap.
Overall review:
other than the problems i've had with the fuel system. it's been an excelent truck.
