1 Good Ford Truck by C. Burbank Okmulgee, Oklahoma on 12/15/2001. Trim: 1990 Ford F-150 Reg. Cab Long Bed 2WD, Owned 3 years.
Pros: It's a ford f-150 xlt lariat. it's been really good to me. it has a 5.0L EFI (302 V8) 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission (E4OD) fully loaded with all factory power options. icl. Tach/guages, light group, map/storage pockets. sliding back glass. It has close to 111,000 miles on it now. i haven't cut it any slack and still doesn't use a drop of oil. and still really clean for it's age.
Cons: this is the second factory recall on the fuel system. can not use front fuel tank. because of a fuel cross flow condition. causing unused fuel from the rear tank to be returned to the front tank. causing the fuel pump in the front tank to stop working properley. alowing it to become overfull with fuel and leak out of the filler cap.
Overall review: other than the problems i've had with the fuel system. it's been an excelent truck.

Work Horse by Family Manuel Labor on 07/29/2013. Trim: 1990 Ford F-150 Reg. Cab Long Bed 2WD, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: Very powerful Hard to flip Great handling Easy to work on Parts Plentiful and easy to find Great for towing Great visibility (Little to no blind spot) Very good turning radius Great traction on the road If you like to do burn outs and donuts this truck stock is great for that is well The AC even after being converted to the new Refrigerant is amazing. Ice Cold in the summer! (Average is over 100 where I live)
Cons: 12 MPG City 16 MPG Highway Totally worth it for what you get in return The EO4D Transmission (before upgrading) is a bit rough it feels like someone is knocking you in the back of the head when it shifts. But if you get the upgrades it is the transmission that ambulances use today. For me I can't afford the upgrades, but a way to make it shift much smother, is to run a wire to from the negative post on the battery to the case of the transmission. Its a huge improvement and is really easy to do.
Overall review: I have the 351 Cubic inch engine (5.8L), my father bought it new in 1990 and it finally has become mine and I must say It's absolutely wonderful. For a half ton payload and being 20 years old at time I could not wish for a better vehicle. I was moving rocks for my aunt once I figured it was a lot of weight. I drove it 10 miles to the dump and got weighed. I had accidentally loaded 1.2 tons into the bed. That pretty much proves its a power house, I accidentally towed a car in park for about 2 blocks before the burning rubber of its tires alerted me that something was wrong. I would recommend this truck to anyone who needs a vehicle. It is very reliable hardly breaks down, easy to repair. If it was a 4x4 I can see this thing being an amazing off roading vehicle as well.
