good van. You get what you pay for. by annonymous1 on 07/29/2011. Trim: 2001 Chrysler Town & Country Limited, Owned 3 years.

Pros: This vehicle is very comftorable and rides very smooth. I love the styling and the leather seats. I also like the memory seat and all of the features such as premium gauges, stylish dashboard, and the room inside. I also like the spacious cargo area. I can stack stuff to the roof without worrying about them tumbling over. The automatic diming mirror is also very nice along with the power seats. The rear seats are also very nice and comftorable versus Chrysler's compeditiors.
Cons: The maintinance is horrible. Needs worked on at every few oil changes or every 12,000 miles. some of the problems are-allignment, tie rod ends, tire rotation, power window regulators, a couple of air filters, charging the a/c, replacing a few belts, and the head light and tailight bulbs. I have put over 500$ into the windows, and every time i take it to the shop, they always tell me the same thing. Nowdays, I find it better to just take the door panel off, and spray some WD-40 on the tracks and losten up the belts. The ac is also a pain as I have repaired and replaced several different things many different times. The suspention also has several problems that frequent.
Overall review: This van is very nice and is easy to drive and manouver into tight spaces. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a family car. You will love it aside from the maintinance and suspention truoble.

Chrysler Van... Never Again! by Not iimpressed with the Van on 02/02/2010. Trim: 2001 Chrysler Town & Country LXi, Owned 7 years.
1
Pros: The ride is too smooth. It's a great long distance traveling vehicle. Watch your speed very carefully. You could be speeding and not realize it, until a cop pulls you over!
Cons: This 2001 Chrysler Town and Country is Aweful. I bought it in 2003 and had nothing but trouble with it eversince. The breaks squeek and needed repair at least 2 x's a year and the electrical system is not trustworthy. Power motor for the windows died twice (in the winter). Transmission problems were a nightmare while I was on vacation I had to spend $1,600.00 to get it fixed. It is now paid off and I spend $240-250.00 in gas a month. I hate this vehicle and will never buy another Chrysler product again.
Overall review: Not reliable... Horrible in the snow... Very poor on fuel economy..

Great minivan for the money. by Humester on 11/21/2009. Trim: 2001 Chrysler Town & Country LXi, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros: The smooth ride and the power/acceleration.
Cons: Nothing
Overall review: I just bought this 2001 T&C Lxi and it rides or rather flies smooth. Handles great, and has plenty of power. Before this i had a 96 with leather and 187k miles and had no problems with that one. The body on this car is beautiful. Much better than the Odyssey and the transmission is really well made and has no problems unlike the highly overrated Odyssey. Who said Chryslers had tranny problems. I have not seen any on either car i have had. The passenger door doesnt open and the driver side doesnt close all the way but the liftgate opens fine. Once i take care of these problems, i will drive this car 5 years and love every minute of it. I would like to commend Chrysler for making this wonderful minivan that doesnt cost an arm and a leg and drives like a dream.

For the money (30k-40k€) should have had less trouble by JR on 11/02/2009. Trim: 2001 Chrysler Town & Country LXi, Owned 7 years.
1
Pros: Roomy & very stylish
Cons: Lots of problems: AC REPAIRED 3 TIMES (STILL NOT PERFECT), REPLACED RADIO, WINDOW LIFT MOTOR(REPLACED 3 TIMES ON PASSENGERS SIDE), SLIDING DOORS DONT WORK ON THEIR OWN, POWER STEERING HAS TO WARM UP BEFORE DRIVING OR IT STICKS, REAR LIFT GATE HAD TO BE FIXED. After the warranty ran out, everything falls apart. Due to economy still hanging on. Driving it very carefully.
Overall review: 6.5 out of 10, tried to buy American, will try Hyundai/Kia next probably.
