Good overall family car
by Cory, Omaha on 01/31/2012.
Trim: 2001 Chrysler LHS Sedan, Owned 8 years.

Pros:
Roomy, get great gas mileage for the size. pretty comfortable on long trips
Cons:
The chrome tarnishes pretty after just a couple years even with regular cleaning, the interior has some plastics that break really easy, vents, knobs, ext. The speakers are horrible, they blew out after just 4 years, the engine computer has been replaced twice with only 100,000 miles and we were told this is typical
The depreciation of this vehicle is bad and rapid.
Overall review:
Chrysler should make the computers a recall, they are expensive for the average consumer to fix, overall a nice car though

Fine luxury sedan
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 07/15/2006.
Trim: 2001 Chrysler LHS Sedan, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
I took a chance buying a used Chrysler and am pleased so far. I was always intrigued by this sedan since it's the predecessor to the 300 C. So far it's been great. Lotsa good miles and no problems or quirks. I always forget how large the interior feels until I reach for something in the backseat and it's like a foot and a half from my hand. Great cruiser for long trips too.
Cons:
No real dislikes about the car. Wish it had the sport shift maybe.
Overall review:
This is a great car that hints at the goodness of the 300 C and future Chrysler models. It's still an eye catching design that turns heads and gets compliments all the time.

Late great front wheel drive Chrysler for the road
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 08/05/2005.
Trim: 2001 Chrysler LHS Sedan, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
One of the best driving cars I've had. Great handling for such a large vehicle. Will cruilse all day at 80+. Excellent stereo and very good ergonomics on user controls. Pretty good gas mileage in town - 22 to 23 mpg mostly freeway driving.
Cons:
New air conditioning (R134) is not as effective as in my wife's 93 New Yorker. Air conditioning fan and electronic control went out and cost approx. $600 to repair.
Overall review:
This is a great long distance or in town car. Lots of luggage space and controls are user friendly. Doesn't feel as big as it is.
