by bob on 05/28/2011.
Trim: 2001 Mercury Sable LS Premium, Owned 6 years.

Pros:
the ride is very . Lots of power
Cons:
The mpg is very bad. About 17-19mpg in city. Also when one thing went wrong (heater, brakes, springs, and needed tune-up real bad.) there alway somthing else. Very poor trade-in value.
Overall review:
Can't beat the ride and the comfort. Climate control. is the best I every had.

More For Your Money
by James on 10/11/2005.
Trim: 2001 Mercury Sable LS Premium, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
The Appearance of the vehicle, the cost, and a great engine (Durtec) drives nice, sound system is great I like the center shifter gives a sports car feel along with its styling great fuel mileage for a v6. Good acceleration. 4 wheel independent suspension and all the extras like six cd changer, digital climate control, dimming mirrors, 16" chrome rims, mach audio, moon roof, leather seats, keyless entry with touch pad and key chain also a security alarm.
Cons:
I had a few problems nothing big I have owned this car for more than a year I put 25,000 miles on it and there's 63,000 miles on it now and with in that time I change my Rotors ounce. Had a couple of problems with my air conditioning like a cycling switch went bad replaced it for $21.00 worked fine and a mixer valve motor for my air conditioning went out this was probably the most expensive fix because I took it to a dealership which charges a lot for labor the part was only $42.30 but the over all cost for the repair was 249.70 and it was back to working fine. Some other problems are the leather could be better and I hate that Ford wont let the sedans have rear disc brakes.
Overall review:
I wouldn't of bought anything else, the Mercury Sable LS Premium is a great car that is real reliable and cheap to maintain I love the look of the car and how it drives.

A good A - to - B car
by Daniel from Jamaica, NY on 09/03/2003.
Trim: 2001 Mercury Sable GS, Owned 1 year.
1
Pros:
Lots of room, good high way milege.
Cons:
The wrose breaks in the world if you don't have ABS.
Needs more horse power and torque.
No rear disc breaks for sedans.
Overall review:
A great "A-to-B" car, however, you still cannot race a Accord or Maxama any time soon.
