Pros:
Much more comfortable van to ride in than our Dodge Caravan. Have over 96,000 miles on it and haven't had to have any repairs except for brake replacements. Seats seven very well.
Cons:
Had to have the heat element in the drivers seat replaced several times, but was covered under warranty. Road noise is a problem, this vehicle should ride much quieter than it does. Brakes could be better, my husband is not impressed with them when he drives the van. Wish the rear heat would work better when the front contols are set on defrost or defrost/floor settings.
Overall review:
Van would be the perfect vehicle if the road noise could be reduced.

The Underrated Olds Minivan

Pros:
Very comfortable leather. Every imaginable need met in the interior. The electronic suspension is excellent, and the handling is tops for a minivan.(ive driven my sister in laws Honda, and the ride is simply better) Very good sound system, easy to use controls, storage everywhere...Seats very easy to move around. Easy to make the back big for storage. Tremendous amount of space inside.
Cons:
I have 2 big problems with this vehicle. First, its safety isnt as good as the Japenese imports when the insurance institute tested it. Secondly, the engine is simply too weak on the highway. Needs more power, no question, but is adequate in the city.
Overall review:
I think the American cars get a bad rap. I know a lot of people who have the Honda Odessey. Yes, thats a great car, but I dont think it has as good of a ride, no matter what you read in Consumer reports.
This car is well thought out and an excellent car. The engineers still need to beef up its structural integrity, its engine torque. Check with me in 4 years on reliability. Ive only had the car for 14 months, and no problems.

I owned a 1990 olds van liked it. Made nice improvements from then, glad they kept the removeabile seats and load leveling suspension.
