Please don't disgree with me. I admit I love this car. But, the negatives are more than positives. It might be a good car for slow-driving family people to drive easy while talking. For me, the biggest disappointment has been poor acceleration at beginning even though it is 3.0L V6. I am not a speed enthusiast. But this car is real slow; slower in acceleration than my previous 1991 1.9L V4 Ford Escort station wagon. I missed that little car a lot. The rest were Discomfort leather (hard) seats, Bad on gas mileage in city driving, cost of repair $1500 in 2 years. I am done with Ford. Going Japanese.

Pros:
That it doesn't seem to have any significant negative
characteristics.
Cons:
Nothing.
Overall review:
It has been over 2 years since I last wrote a review here
(see 6/17/03). I only have about 47k on it but the only
problem I have had was replacement of the fan motor for A/C-Heat.
I continue to enjoy ownership of this vehicle. I have been surprised
that I have had so few problems because that is unusual for a Ford.

Pros:
This car is awesome. I have two boxers and an infant that my husband and I travel with in this car, and we always have plent of room. There's plenty of cargo room for luggage, dog crates, and baby necessities.
Cons:
I wish that the seats were a little more comfortable.
Overall review:
It's a ood car. I would buy one again.

Poor front suspension
Overall review:
Having owned a 1999 version the 2001 is of poorer quality. Ford gave "free" leather interior as an incentive - doesn't make sense for a utility car. After three Fords the next car will be other than a "blue oval"

Pros:
Sharp looking vehicle. Easy to handle.
Cons:
Seats too hard and uncomfortable driving long distances. Not much leg room in front either.
Overall review:
I've only had this car for around 5 mos. It has a solid feel and look about it. Sounds loud on highway and seats are hard and uncomfortable. I hope it continues to run good. So far so good. Has around 24000 miles on it.
