A good little car by An MSN Autos Consumer on 04/03/2012. Trim: 2001 Toyota Prius, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: Needs almost no repairs - even when I had a main battery fault last month all that was needed was the array of little battery buss bars in the pack cleaned of corrosion and one cell replaced. (Did that myself, but I don't recommend it unless you know basic voltage safety).
Cons: Lack of battery capacity - I lose regen braking after about 2-3 miles of steep downhill mountain roads.
Overall review: Very reliable car, got it new, now has 140k miles. I'll keep driving it as long as I can make it last!

A Great Little "Green" Car! by Jim in Beulah, CO on 10/17/2008. Trim: 2001 Toyota Prius, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: 42 mpg average on my 70 mile each way commute to work, handles well, reliable, plenty of pep
Cons: Really good all season radials not available for the 2001 Prius wheel size. A little noisy on the highway, but for all the advantages a minor inconvenience
Overall review: Great little car...solid, plenty of room in trunk for your average grocery shopping, surprising tork and passing ability on highway.

I love my car!!!!! by TUS, Whittier CA on 10/13/2005. Trim: 2001 Toyota Prius, Owned 4 years.
Pros: I really like everything about my Prius. It is cute, quiet, economical, and easy to handle. I don't have the hatchback, so I can see out of the back quite easily. The interior is just the right size for me. It only takes 9 gallons to fill mine up. And I like the dash display.
Cons: The interior gets dirty very easily. There is no button on the key fob for the trunk, I don't have navigation or a cd player, but I have found a guy that adds all of that aftermarket for half the price Toyota does it for.
Overall review: I smile when I approach my car from across the lot. I love to drive and find new techniques for squeezing more MPG out of it. This is really the best out of the 11 cars I have owned.

First 21st Century Car! by Dennis from Phoenix on 12/04/2003. Trim: 2001 Toyota Prius, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Roomy for its’size. Decent acceleration. Trunk holds more than you think. Lowest polluting car on the road, 90% less than average car. Great gas mileage. You could drive it and wouldn’t know it was a Hybrid if you weren’t told.
Cons: Doesn't have the handling or acceleration of my stolen Acura Integra.
Overall review: Bought with 61,000 miles on it in February 2003 now has 77,000. I have had no problems with it so far. Get its best performance around town. You can get good mileage if you learn to drive smoothly. We drive to San Diego every few months. It is not the road car my Acura was but is decent on the road. Highest mileage was 51, lowest 39 average 45. Like that I’m helping to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and putting 90% less pollution in the air. Not a luxury car but base model is well equipped. This is the first 21st century car and shows you can have a great car that doesn’t pollute or guzzle gas. I can’t wait to see what they are like in ten years. Be patriotic and buy on too.

Great Car for Everyone by Green Car from Indy. on 11/03/2003. Trim: 2001 Toyota Prius, Owned 2 years.
Pros: great reliability, low emission, high gas mileage, comfy, cool looking, supremely high build quality
Cons: slow acceleration
Overall review: great car, not really any reason not to get once accept if you have to have corvette acceleration or if you have a large family. It actually does not only have 70 horsepower, it also has around a 30 horsepower electric engine, so the real horsepower rating should be around 100.
