Perfect Balance Between Truck and Car. Love my Pathy
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 07/05/2010.
Trim: 2001 Nissan Pathfinder LE 4WD, Owned 1 year.
1
Pros:
VQ Engine, Electronic 4WD, Reliability & Dependability, Quality of materials, Fit and Finish, Memory Seats, Quality of ride for daily driving, Rugged design, and lots of storage space.
Cons:
Having to remove headrests each time you want to drop the rear seats, gas mileage, and the choice of Rims for the LE model.
Overall review:
I love this SUV!! Its great to drive on a daily basis, and has never let me down. Always starts, great through the thickest snow, and treats the driver to a very car-like interior space. Best car I've bought for the money yet. I work for Nissan, and I can tell you that this R50 generation of Pathfinder is much better then current one. It's the only uni-body pathfinder, but it still does everything better then the current generation. If you're looking for a reliable SUV, these Pathfinders should definitely be on your list!

Best value/performance/quality SUV

Trim: 2001 Nissan Pathfinder SE 2WD, Owned 1 year.

Pros:

Cons:

Overall review:
Overall, the Nissan Pathfinder is the best SUV you can buy. You just can't beat 240 horses from a V6 that delivers decent gas mileage (especially when compared to V8's that deliver less performance). To shop for a SUV and not look at the Pathfinder would be a big mistake.

I'll miss you.
by B of BKO on 01/24/2013.
Trim: 2001 Nissan Pathfinder LE 4WD, Owned more than 10 years.
Useful?
Pros:
Like the looks and the interior. Like the driving feel and performance - not to soft, not too firm, steering has good feedback and weight.
Cons:
Needed new oil seals and minor parts here and there. Biggest replacement so far was a new radiator.
Overall review:
I love(d) this vehicle. Bought it new, it's now got more than 140k miles and still drives beautifully. Unfortunately I had to get rid of it due to a new oil leak from the timing chain cover that was going to cost too much to fix to justify. It's like a family member and everyone was very sad to see it go.
