14 years old and 170,000 miles and still going strong!!! by YourAngel from ILLINOIS on 08/10/2014. Trim: 2000 Chevrolet Suburban K1500 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: I purchased my 14 yr/old 2000 black Suburban LT and I love everything about it! It had 170,000 miles when purchased, The captain seats are wide and ergonomically built for great lumbar support and comfort. That's great feature for those with low back problems. The original speakers still sound good but may replace later. I needed a legitimate 3rd row plus large cargo area; and this big fella handles both needs well. It rides smoothly down the road, its quiet, and you can easily go above speed limit, when cruising down an open highway. It handles like a luxury car, its hard to believe you're driving such a big vehicle. Gas fill-up when fuel light on was only $92! No complaints here!
Cons: I would like a more stylish front grill. Other than that, its perfect!
Overall review: I bought a high mileage (170,000) 2000 LT 4 Wheel drive SUBURBAN and it is still going strong, and looks good too! Comfort and space is excellent. Handling is easy also. Backing up is easier to see car behind, compared to The Ford Excursion. We owned one of them and even though I liked the height and power of the Excursion, The Suburban has a more comfortable ride, and easier, more comfortable to drive. Seating is super comfortable, air vents well centered and cools cabin well. multiple 12v outlets, cup holders, deep storage for front seats. It has everything a family traveling would need! Bought to carry around grandkids, when they visit, because 3 car seats take up a lot of room in my 2 row suv, which eliminates room for adults, so this was an economical solution and we all love it!!!!
