Great Car by TibLover on 09/01/2011. Trim: 2000 Hyundai Tiburon Coupe, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Handling, Economy, Sporty
Cons: Bucket seats can be uncomfortable for long drives
Overall review: I have had my Tib for three years now. I had to replace my timing belt at about 160k miles, but i hear that is pretty common. Overall, i've been pretty happy with it. The main thing that goes wrong is hoses. One goes out every summer, but my car has 177,000 miles on it and buying a ten dollar hose isn't a big deal in my mind. I've liked this car enough to fix everything that has gone wrong with it. It's lasted me awhile including a year I was driving about 20,000 miles. Overall, great college kid car. Pretty reliable. It is awesome in the snow. Mine is lowered so as long as it's not deep enough to high center I can get just about anywhere

An Excellent Car by Kathryn on 10/11/2005. Trim: 2000 Hyundai Tiburon Coupe, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Very responsive handling, great acceleration, reliable, attractive
Cons: rear seats cramped
Overall review: I really love this car, it has few vices and aims to please. It is of superior quality, with neat fit and finish and notable reliability. The rear seats are cramped, but can be folded down to provide a great deal of space for cargo. I would definifinitely reccomend this car for purchace.

Low Priced Quality Performance by Raider from OKC, OK on 01/02/2004. Trim: 2000 Hyundai Tiburon Coupe, Owned 5 years.
Pros: (No data provided)
Cons: (No data provided)
Overall review: My wife and I fell for this low priced sporty car from the moment we drove it. The performance was an added bonus. Being one of the first, if not the first in OKC, drivers of other sports cars would follow us and ask about it. In four years, not a single problem.

A Vehicle of Dichotomies by soleil.nu from seattle on 12/25/2003. Trim: 2000 Hyundai Tiburon Coupe, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Exterior really looks great - lots of elegantly curved metal - reminds one of a Jag. Solid powerplant feels bulletproof. Handles well enough. Eye-catching interior trim highlights. Great interior room - really a rather large car. Huge gas mileage on the highway. Lots of features - quite a lot of car for the money.
Cons: Engine noise is loud to distraction. Feels awkward, unbalanced, not very fun to drive. Dark coffin-like interior. Amatuerish long-throw clutch. You can slam the trunk down hard, and still have only a 1-in-2 chance you've shut it completely. Feels like a huge ungainly box, not like a tight, small sportscar. And, sure, it's got a 100,000 mile warranty, but I've already found that all the local dealers will do everything short of parking a tank in front of the service shop to keep you from getting warranty work done on this car.
Overall review: Engine seems tough and bulletproof, much like the finest Japanese small trucks. My 4-cyl performs when needed and still gets 34+ mpg (highway). But it's loud, sounds cheap, and not nimble or swift. Tough truck-like 5-speed transmission is offset by a toy-like leg-aching long-throw clutch. The interior has its appealing design accents, but it's dark and black, like driving a coffin. It handles pretty well, corners cleanly and sharply, etc., but it's just not fun putting this car through its paces, due to its excessive size. Although it seems tough and solid, I get the feeling that either corners have been cut or the design elevator hasn't gone all the way to the top. And what is it with Hyundai dealers? All in all, every good point (and there's lots) is equally balanced by a bad point, and it makes for an ungainly, awkward, incomplete driving experience, which leaves the driver wanting.
