A Great Little SUV.
by Larry on 10/05/2011.
Trim: 1989 Ford Bronco II 2WD, Owned more than 10 years.
1
Pros:
I purchases it new, it has always started and gets fairly good gas mileage. It only has about 60,000 miles on it (1989 model) it is standard shift and still looks new. Very easy to work on and I love driving it. The front seats are comfortable.
Cons:
The back seats are not very comfortable and not easy to get in and out of. The road noise is terrible but not sure they were concerned with road noise when they built them. The spare is attached to the rear gate and I hate that part...it blocks part of the view and is part of the noise issue. Not much get up and go with the small 6 cyl.
Overall review:
Overall on a 1 to 10 rating scale, I give it a 5 but would not sell mine for anything.

"No Fear I-95 Beater"
by Bronco Bob, From Thornburg, Virginia on 09/26/2011.
Trim: 1989 Ford Bronco II 4WD, Owned more than 10 years.
1
Pros:
I have one with 395,000 miles on the original motor. The first transmission had 338,000 miles when I replaced it with a remanufactured one. Its has room for a lot of cago with the back seats down.
Cons:
Four different vehicles have run it to it and totaled. Even being bright red people seem to be inattentive around it. Put Michlin tires on it and I got 150,000 out of a set. Low cost maintenance, low cost parts, easily repaired at home, four wheel drive exceptional in snow, mud, or off roading.
Overall review:
I' m waiting to find out if I will keep it or give it up since a Ford Focus decided to total it due to damage being higher than the vehicle is worth. Made an exceptional death race 1999 - 2011 years I-95 commuter car from Thornburg Virginia to Lorton Virginia. Fron 1989 to 1999 it cummuted from Fredericksburg, Virginia to Alexandria, Virginia.

Still a great SUV
by Roy on 11/26/2009.
Trim: 1989 Ford Bronco II 4WD, Owned more than 10 years.
1
Pros:
Capable 4WD. Power for size ok. Super reliability. My Bronco II has 350k miles, over 100k towing, with no major work. Gets good gas milage. Averaged 25 mpg when newer, still gets 21-22. Great handling, can turn around in a two lane road. Good cargo abilities. Usable roof rack.
Cons:
2 door, side swing spare tire holder (problematic for trailer towing),
Overall review:
Good Vehicle. If they still made it (preferrably in a 4 door), I'd replace my tired one with a new one. I still own mine because nothing made has the same great combination of capabilities and fuel ecomomy.

A great ride- check out the small turning radius!
by Joe on 08/07/2009.
Trim: 1989 Ford Bronco II 4WD, Owned 10 years.
1
Pros:
The 4 wheel drive and the transmission are the weak spots on this vehicle. I put 250,000 miles on my last one and enjoyed every mile. The Bronco handles snow and ice as easily as the everyday driving conditions. Seating comfort and ride is very good.
Cons:
Rust. Be certain to check the frame underneath- it is easy to see from beside the bronc
Overall review:
If you can find one they aregreat all around. Easy to drive and park.
