The Ultimate Van For Anyone Haulers Or Familys by Naa in Nebraska on 11/02/2009. Trim: 2000 Chevrolet Astro AWD, Owned 8 years.
1
Pros: The rear doors are amazing, the clearance is great for winter, the AWD is great. They are Very roomy, fairly quiet, powerful and great for hauling trailers and gear. Our van is probobly the only one i have ever seen that does not have a trailer hitch on the back, but Im hopeing to install one. For its size it breaks and handels very well we have taken corners and had no problems. The sound system inside of these vans is Great, it is very powerful and keeps the goove goin. Also just by removing the rear seats you turn the van into a very roomy 5 person car with enough room in the back for any outing I have ever heard of. Im pretty shrue that you can put a queen size bed into the back :).
Cons: The heating and air has had problems. For a while the rear heat wouldent work for us but has returned. Also the front fans have had problems with the high setting, we have had a few problems with it not wanting to work, but while it didnt work on high the fans did work on every other setting. The transmissions on these vans have been said to be bad. We so far have not had too many problems with this on our vans. We were pretty shure that the AWD have gone out on this van forever. HAHAHA but that was no problem for a little Lucas Transmission Fix. Once we dumped some into the transmission after a change the AWD is back.
Overall review: These are Great vans for anything you want to do. If its hauling people around or hauling gear or both they are great. Im in a family of 6 and the reason we wanted these vans is because they are roomy and so we could if we wanted to have two more freinds along. We have traveled the US in these vans. This is our second one out of three that we have owned and we still own it and have bought another one from our freinds. The only major problem that we have had is that on a trip to Iowa during the winter the van started to go only 40. But this turns out to be at our error because we had not changed the fuel filter for a while and therefore blew out the fuel pump. This was a costly repair but we have not had many other major problems other than that. These vans are great for Teens that want to haul their freinds around or just want a sweet ride. I have seen many of these vans that were tricked out.

A Solid Vehicle by Rico, Pittsbugh, PA on 02/25/2007. Trim: 2000 Chevrolet Astro AWD, Owned 1 year.

Pros: Very powerful engine!! I added a cold-air intake and it increased my horsepower 10-12 more horses. It's heavy and very stable on the road regardless if it's raining or snowing.
Cons: Since it's all wheel drive it is a little thirsty. Mileage did increase though from the cold-air intake from 19MPG to 22MPG
Overall review: I recommend this truck to anyone that is interested in buying a mini-van, new or used. It is one of the best vehicles I've ever owned

Pros: I really like the size of the vehicle and the drivability.
Cons: This vehicle has been a problem with starter problems, wire problems, sliding door , seats lever function, engine problems, electrical problems since within the first 1,000 miles. To date we are on the third starter. (I am greatful to have the extended warranty.)
Overall review: Poor
