Pros:
Superior fit and finish. Excellent ergonomics. Maintenance costs are modest (essentially oil, fluids, tires, wipers - wear and tear items only). I purchased my SC300 with 28,000 miles. It now has 137,000 miles with absolutely no problems. (I have a 1995 ES300 with 208,000 miles - again, no problems to report).

The leather on the driver's seat bolster shows wear and requires regular conditioning. In fact, both Lexus products that I own show similar wear. To a degree, some wear is expected, but one must be diligent about the conditioning regimen to prevent cracking.
I would recommend snow tires for anyone contemplating year-round use of their SC300. The vehicle handles adequately in inclement weather with all season tires, but snow tires make an appreciable difference.

The guy who thinks it has a Camry V6 obviously never had a SC since the SC300 always had a STRAIGHT 6!!!

Lexus SC 400

Pros:
Powerful V 8 engine, Nakamichi stereo is a blast, feels solid and safe, very bright lights, lays like a rock on the street and drives very smooth with lots of power available. Comfortable seats, large trunk for a coupe
Cons:
interior kind of dated because car was at 2000 already 9 years in production,,,
Overall review:
upgraded from a 95 to 2000 SC 400 and they made a good car perfect. Very smooth ride, lots of upgraded items and new functions which make life easier and driving more comfortable. Took me 3 years to get one with low mileage and my color...finally made it.
