cop car by ray slc,ut on 03/31/2010. Trim: 2000 Ford Crown Victoria Base, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Cheap, good cruiser, cheap, so far very reliable which means cheap.
Cons: Short headrests, engine compartment a bit crowded.
Overall review: It's an ex police vehicle from Kentucky, with travel expenses cost a little over 2k. It scared me when I picked it up, got a nasty shake under braking, mysteriously went away after 1k miles. Not fooled, likely a disk or bearing issue. That said, I changed the oil, had to clean the battery terminals, that's it. Own a volvo 850, so not under the dellusion this is fast or handles well, BUT, for the size it handles okay, the brakes are decent, it's comfortable, but the head rests need to be much higher (what were they thinking?), plenty of space, and it was and still is CHEAP! Sounds like the intake and exhaust are being choked off by a gorilla, so when replacement warrants, will work on that. Two wierd issues, one, the tires are slick on wet or snow, dissapointed by these goodyears. Two, everyone keeps cutting me off, gonna get some driving lights to let the other drivers know there's a giant Ford coming their way.

the big persons commuter vehicle by ICMDI on 08/06/2003. Trim: 2000 Ford Crown Victoria LX, Owned 1 year.
Pros: after 110,000 miles car is still strong and rides great.
Cons: Worries a bit about Fords infamous metric trans but fluid is still clean.
Overall review: I would buy another police interceptor as long as it is well maintained as this car was. Fantastic value

The Family Car! by ftompat on 08/03/2002. Trim: 2000 Ford Crown Victoria LX, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Very good performance for the price(CV-LX Special Edition).
Cons: Too noisey(road noise) and very poor construction, excessive gaps and misaligned components.Must not be any quality assurance on the line!
Overall review: Makes a fine family car in this price range,it would be excellent with a bit more sound insulation and better(some) quality control.

Crown victoria ex-police car by Remington J on 02/07/2009. Trim: 2000 Ford Crown Victoria Base, Owned 1 year.
Pros: i bought this car from a police auction. i believe it was an undersheriff car due to the color and lack of spots for lights. this car has heavy duty everything, shocks, springs, breaks, chassis, and all sorts of coolers under the hood. like oil, tranny, and powersteering coolers. not to mention it weighs 200lbs less than my big old fullsize chevy pickup. it handles great in the snow and i am not underwhelmed by the acceleration at all. i cut the mufflers off and welded on staight pipes inplace and it has an awesome 1970s muscle car sound. also i fabricated my own cold air intake with a cone filter, and got rid of that restricting air box. summer gets 17-18 mpg city and 12-13 winter city.
Cons: well like any gearhead, 100 more horsepower never hurts. i guess the only thing i can say would be gas mileage, but even thats not bad compared to my truck that gets 8mpg.
Overall review: i would recomend an expolice crown vic to anyone. i would even consider the civilian model. the police model rides stiffer but i like that. dont take my word. if your interested go test one and put it through its paces and see if you like it. crown vics are at home on very long long trips so thats another thing to keep in mind. also the seats are comfortable. if your an old school mucsle car person but want to be a little more practicle with fuel economy i would recomend a crown vic. this is not a muscle car but it definatly takes the edge off my craving.

A beautiful vehicle by John New Mexico on 08/24/2008. Trim: 2000 Ford Crown Victoria LX, Owned 5 years.
Pros: Everything to include gas mileage, interior room, trunk room, low end torque, max MPH. towing, et-al
Cons: I really can't think of anything.
Overall review: An excellent vehicle for the heavy driver, (i.e. one that drives for a living. Passing gear/speed is really hard to believe for a car this size and weight.
