flighttruck by skyking on 08/29/2011. Trim: 1996 Dodge Dakota Sport Reg. Cab 6.5-ft. Bed 2WD, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: good overal truck. have over 250,000 miles and still running good. doesn't smoke.
Cons: had to replace brake rotors more than I wanted too.
Overall review: first truck I owned and my last one cause I'm keeping it. cheaper to fix this one than buy a newer one. I really like this truck.

A good overall truck by Bigpainter on 12/26/2010. Trim: 1996 Dodge Dakota Sport Reg. Cab 6.5-ft. Bed 2WD, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: The one problemis not all parts are standard. When you need to buy a part you had better take the old one with you. Other than that I like my Dodge dakota Sport.
Cons: Getting the rightreplacement parts.
Overall review: I have had this truck for over 13 years and I like it. Gas economy is good. The factory shell is great. It looks good.

Little Sporty Truck by Moto-X from Prarie du Sac, Wisconsin on 04/27/2007. Trim: 1996 Dodge Dakota Club Cab 4WD, Owned 4 years.
Pros: It's a great small truck that has a nice off-road capability. It gets great fuel economy. It's g great looking sporty truck.
Cons: There is nothing to hate about the truck but I feel the new Dakotas that just came out are too much of a Ram wanabe and Im not a big fan of them.
Overall review: I love the truck but I'm probably going to move up to a full size truck at somepoint in the year. Maybe a Ram or Silverado.

Best truck in it's class and year by debbie / denton tx on 02/13/2007. Trim: 1996 Dodge Dakota WS Reg. Cab 6.5-ft. Bed 2WD, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: the long bed and extended cab / the drivers seat can be pushed far back on the rails for more comfortable seating for fuller figured persons - ride is like an old oldsmobile.
Cons: the turning radious is the only thing that should have been improved
Overall review: Great dependability - great for all kinds of progects or travel.

Just keeps running by Alice on 08/23/2006. Trim: 1996 Dodge Dakota Club Cab 2WD, Owned 5 years.
Pros: Solid, dependable little truck. It has served us well for hauling and even a couple of long trips. No trouble starting in cold weather.
Cons: Typical of small trucks, does not handle well in heavy snows. Blower motor goes out, causing the truck to be slow in warming up in cold weather. Magnum V8 motor not real great on gas milage, but it will pull about anything you want. There seems to be a jerk in the transmission when you first go into reverse, but it quickly smooths out after you drive it a little.
Overall review: Good solid, dependable vehicle. We have well over 100,000 miles on it and the truck just keeps going.
