What a disappointment
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 08/11/2003.
Trim: 1999 Chrysler Sebring LXi, Owned 4 years.

Pros:
The car has a stylish look.
Cons:
The side panels fall off. The doors leak tar-like substance. The front bumper is too low. The outside door handles break. The tires go flat and wear out frequently - and are very expensive. the windows leak.
Overall review:
Never buy another one.

Stylish yet problematic
by anna on 09/14/2011.
Trim: 1999 Chrysler Sebring JXi, Owned 2 years.
1
Pros:
It is a nice looking car but problematic
Cons:
I dislike the repair shop. I am constantly in one. Mine has 104,000 miles and has virtually every part of the water system. Now I am paying to fix the motor. My car is currently in the shop.
Overall review:
Overall, I would rate this car low in reliabilty but very stylish to look at. It is not a car would recomend for someone on a budget. Probably more for someone who likes to repair vechicles.

KICK A - - FUN!!
by John, Columbus, OH on 09/12/2002.
Trim: 1999 Chrysler Sebring JXi, Owned 3 years.
1
Pros:
I have absolutely driven the wheels off this car!! I've put almost 90,000 miles on it in 3 years without as much as a whimper out of it. Constant driving between NYC and Ohio has produced fuel efficiencies in excess of 30 mpg (hwy)! I could never drive this much/this far without the most comfortable seats and ride and the best performance and reliability I've ever experienced in a moderately priced car. Do all of you get people stopping you to tell you how beautiful your car is, like I do????
Cons:
Having previously owned a Dodge Stealth, this car does not handle as aggressively. However...who would expect it to? Its basically a family car, not a sports car. While dealerships could use some improvement and minor annoyances such as a bad "door ajar" switch, a new battery and one new set of brakes (with 90,000 miles...go figure!), have occasionally popped up (as they do on ALL cars...), the fun, stares, and positive comments I get from other drivers out on the road soon make you forget them.
Overall review:
A magazine article once described the Honda Accord as being "as reliable as a refrigerator...and just about as much fun to drive". Let the masses drive their refrigerators...I'll drive this. If you want a car that combines it all...reliability, performance, comfort, size, styling and sheer "KICK A - -" driving FUN...this is the car!
