A Good Car to Have
by LittleMPH from Savannah on 02/22/2009.
Trim: 1997 Chrysler Concorde LX, Owned 7 years.

Pros:
This car is a great car mechanically. It has that nice "get up and go" feel when you press on the gas petal to help you get out of sticky situations. Good braking and handling system. Very comfortable driving.
Cons:
It's a great car, but the only thing I dislike about this car is the paint. After having the car for a couple of years, the paint had a dull sheen on it. A couple of years later, the paint on the car looks pitted, showing various sizes of white spots on them. The cost of repainting the car would have been nearly $3500!
Overall review:
I love this car because of its' dependibility to get me from point A to point B.
The costly repainting of the car was truly a downer for me.

Cons:
minor things like no rear cup holders

Overall review:
good car but not exactly what I had expected since being a van
owner for many years - had trouble adjusting to the lack of
roominess

Concorde - a good choice
by An owner in Qatar on 11/17/2000.
Trim: 1997 Chrysler Concorde LX, Owned 3 years.
1
Pros:
quick, modern technology, comfortable.
Cons:
Accellerator is too sensitive - jumps away like a rabbit when you start rolling. It's an adjustment problem from the factory.
3 times changed the fuel tank sensor - another factory problem. It's a stupid feeling to run out of fuel when the gauge says 3/4 full - especially with the wife driving and in 105 degree weather
Overall review:
An excellent car, drives well - probably the best value for money in its class. Thank God Chrysler went bankrupt and had to start from scratch - otherwise the Chrysler would be like all the other OLD american cars in this price range.

Hope she holds together
by troubles on 11/01/2000.
Trim: 1997 Chrysler Concorde LX, Owned 4 years.

Pros:
good acceleration. The end!
Cons:
bought new in 97. in 36K miles; 3 engine oil leaks, a rad. leak and replaced water pump, a leaky and then replaced AC condensor, a leaky front differential (now leaking again), a completely burned out (and fully rebuilt) transmission, failed door lacks, power windows and power seat (drivers only) and finally, broken stabilizer bars (actually, only one side)!
Overall review:
This car had to be built on either a Friday afternoon or Monday morning (maybe both). It,s not fair to judge a whole series by one car but after spending $25,000 for this one I'll most likely never look at another Chrysler.
