The ultimate fuel saver car!
by GrandSportC3, Clearwater/FL on 12/11/2007.
Trim: 1998 Chevrolet Metro Base, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros:
gas mileage
reliability
Cons:
lack of power
Overall review:
I've owned a 1994 Geo Metro before and now own a '98 Chevy Metro. I bought the '98 about 4 weeks ago with 24k miles on the clock.. Drove this vehicle on a 3 week Central America trip, all the way from Clearwater/Florida to Belize etc.. Put a total of 5500 miles on the car during the trip. Lots of those miles were on bad roads, mountain roads as also dirt roads... The car is not all that quick when driving uphill in the mountains, but it's a sacrifice that I'm willing to make for the gas mileage.. Even driving through the mountains, my gas mileage was never below 40 mpg. I drive over 40k miles per year, and the fuel efficiency of the Metro will save me big $$$
