Stately Supercar by GT lover from OC on 04/04/2012. Trim: 1997 Aston Martin DB7 Volante, Owned 2 years.
Pros: If you want class and performance, there is no other car you should consider. My DB7 is so smooth in ride and drivetrain that it is like riding on a cloud. The torque at the low end will rip the steering wheel out of your hands on take off and the accelleration does not let off until you do. As far as looks, hard to beat. I have the Volante and for a convert, solid as a rock. Had many other converts and they all rattle, not this one. Hit RR tracks and only thing you hear is the tire noise. Brakes are awesome too.
Cons: Electronics are out of date by todays standards but afraid to mess with such a lovely dash. Don't like the location of the parking brake lever and no cup holders. Should have cruise control as it really is a GT. Has been good to me with repairs, but when it does need something..hold on to your wallet!!
Overall review: Im a tall guy - 6'3" and its the only "supercar" I fit in comfortably. Turns heads everywhere....with those who know what it is and constantly a topic of conversation...but not like a Ferrari or Porsche. Really a very good everyday driver and thats what it is to me. Will most likely never sell it and just keep it as a 2nd car. They won't make them like this very much longer.

DB7, YOU DESERVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS by SIR JAMES FROM PALMDESERT, CA on 03/06/2001. Trim: 1997 Aston Martin DB7 Coupe, Owned 4 years.
Pros: IT REALLY IS A SCREAM TO DRIVE THE DB7, STYLE, POWER, PERFOMANCE. FOR ALL THE SINGLES OUT THERE , CONSIDER IT BOTH AN ASSET & INVESTMENT
Cons: MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS A REPUTABLE MECH./SERVICE CENTER IF YOU YOURSELF DON'T DO/KNOW REPAIR WORK
Overall review: "AWSOME", TO DRIVE THIS CAR IS TO KNOW LIFE.

DB7 will roost your civics, kids by Frenzy on 05/08/2003. Trim: 1997 Aston Martin DB7 Coupe, Owned 6 years.
Pros: Interior is pure slick. I got a job that involved a joyride in one of these machines. I burned rubber in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I got all the old people on the safe side of the sidewalks. These things can definitely rooost on many cars.
Cons: Steering feels hefty. I'm not a fan of oversteer.
Overall review: These things are incredible. Don't ever underestimate 420 horsies matched with a silky 6-speed manual. You shouldn't be able to get an automatic Aston Martin... It should be illegal, you need the manual control of this wild animal.

Understated class with POWER! by Lessor in Dallas on 10/03/2002. Trim: 1997 Aston Martin DB7 Volante, Owned 2 years.
Pros: If you need to wear your labels on the outside of your clothes get a SL55...otherwise this is IT! Understated class with head jerking power. To hear the engine is worth the price alone.
Overall review: I give it 6 stars.... best car I ever owned.

the utimate bespoke automobile by Car Lover from L.V. on 08/09/2001. Trim: 1997 Aston Martin DB7 Volante, Owned 5 years.
Pros: This car has an the right mystic and image for the young and successful professional. This is properly the most beautiful grand touring luxury oriented sports car designed in the last thirty years. This car can be considered a glorified Mercedes SL, but with a generation or two behind in the engineering. However, with the financial backing and parts bin from Ford, this is quite a reliable car. This is also one of the cost effective Aston to maintain since most of the service can be performed by Jaguar- it is largerly based on the mid- 1990's Jaguar XJS but with TWR who did the final turning.
Cons: The quality is not like Mercedes and the Aston maintenance cost is astronomical. The warranty is only two years and any parts is marked up three or four times. This is not a sports car but rather a "gentlemen luxury grand touring car". The most feared complement is "nice Jag" since the car cost almost twice of the XK8. The most interesting issue for current DB7 owners is how will Ford Luxury Group maintain the premium prices for Astons residual values and not let the ultra high technologies slip to the higher volume and margin Jaguars. The dealers service is marginal with high personal turnover, and the service center is a shack.
Overall review: I would still recommend this car for car lovers who are bored of the SL and XK8's, and not yet ready for the Bentleys. This is still one of the most beautiful cars on the market and still remains of the most exclusive automobiles in the world.
