Nothing Special by An MSN Autos Consumer on 11/18/2005. Trim: 1998 Acura 3.5RL, Owned 5 years.
2
Pros: Body style, powerful AC, Comfort. Feels like a solid heavy car. Great stereo. Multifunction steering wheel.
Cons: $1000 / year average maintenance after 50,000 miles. Gas Guzzler. Brakes wear out too fast as the pads are small for a heavy car. A better dressed accord at the end of day. Cheap Leather interior. Location of cup holders. Cannot align back wheels because they come factory welded therefore if you need an alignment you need to change factory parts to adjustible parts (expensive)
Overall review: I would think the accord or camry is more reliable. Lexus is better value for money considering the maintenance costs.

Build to out-last the earth by BimmerExLover on 07/09/2003. Trim: 1998 Acura 3.5RL, Owned 3 years.

Pros: Extremely quiet. Powerful and very reliable. I bought the car used with 102,000 miles, paid $11,300. It still run & drive almost like new now with 187,000 miles. This is the car you that you would not want to put your mother in law in the back seat. I wish the German would build a car of this impecable quality.
Cons: Soft suspension and disconnected steering feels. Styling too bland and sedate. Seats too cushy and unsupportive.
Overall review: Will NOT buy this car again since it is TOO reliable. There is no reason for me to convince my wife to buy a new car. Buy this car if and only if you need extra money for annual Cancun trip. I love driving BMW but do not have enough money to feed its dealerships.

Truely a Good Choice! by Michael on 07/24/2005. Trim: 1998 Acura 3.5RL, Owned 5 years.

Pros: The handling and ride are great! It has somewhat of an effortless feel during normal city and highway driving. It's not the kind of car that works you in any way... Which means that you need to pay attention because it is soooo comfortable. Beyond the normal servicing, its only needed oil changes...the Beamer! BMW means "Bring Money With" you routinely...
Cons: It could use more power in the normal drive position... I drive using D3 for the extra pep. I am 6'1 am ride in the front seat but I can tell from looking in the back that I would not be comfortable back there... You have no clock when the Navigation Sys is turned off! I popped open the trunk once to get my umbrella before leaving to catch the Metro...the trunk was left ajar. The doors still locked! My Beamer nothing locks unless everything is closed... away. I expect them to work a little harder and consider this as a safty feature since they are installing locks anyway... Gas can disappear kinda fast!...maybe because its increased so much?
Overall review: It's the best maintenance free car I have owned.

Pros: This car can go off of the line The top end is still quick enough to go past almost anything.
Cons: The Bose system is nice, But they should have put the disk changer in the dash and not the trunk.
Overall review: Nice car, Great second car.
