Avenger by Avenger442 on 11/20/2004. Trim: 1993 Cadillac Seville STS, Owned 6 years.
Pros: Performance, styling
Cons: Transmission failed at 80,000. AC problems. Interior wood cracked at about three years.
Overall review: This is a drivers automobile in the luxury class. But it lacks some quality in the materials and mecanical duribility. And, as expected, repair cost are double any other GM offering.

The ultimate Detroit Lemon by Skylion from Boston on 10/11/2004. Trim: 1993 Cadillac Seville Base, Owned 6 years.
Pros: Everyone who saw the car loved it. Everyone who rode in it loved it. It was fun to slam the accelerator to the floor and hurtle all that Detroit steel into full throttle mode. Stopping - now that was another issue.
Cons: I purchased this car used with 35,000 miles on it. From day one I was replacing parts. The cooling system failed regularly, with multiple replacement of radiators, water pumps and hoses. There was never a time that the oil, cooling or A\C systems were not leaking something on the ground. I experienced numerous electrical problems and electrical system failures. The final ailment was a blown head gasket which would have cost approximately 3-4K dollars to repair. And the shop refused to warranty the work! Oh, did I mention that the fuel pump, antenae and electric window motors all failed repeatedly as well. I recommend buying the maintenance manual you are going to need it.
Overall review: Stay away from Cadillac - especially the older models the workmanship and quality do not justify the price. In the end I was too embarassed to sell the car and finally donated it to a locat charity. Reliability is not Cadillac's forte.Buy a Lexus - I did!

STS, great car by Roadster from Tucson, Az on 03/21/2004. Trim: 1993 Cadillac Seville STS, Owned 8 years.
Pros: I really like the style ( numerous compliments ), powerful performance and sporty handling. The quality interior is roomy and comfortable. The fuel mileage for this size vehicle and engine is very good and the reliablity has been excellent... 19.1 City and 23 to 25 MPG on highway.
Cons: Although the sound output of the premium radio is very good, more detailed adjustments could have been added. Very small outside mirrors restrict driver's ability to see vehicles to the rear. Would like to see personal settings for the seats.
Overall review: The styling is excellent for the STS. The large Northstar engine is everything it was advertized to be with outstanding power at any speed. Throaty sound from the mufflers with sporty handling and ride. Minimum problems with very good overall reliabilty. Visiblity somewhat lacking with smaller rearview mirrors. If repairs are needed, most likely they will be costly if taken to a Cadillac dealership.
