Excellent Drive! by Jeff from Iowa on 02/12/2009. Trim: 1999 Porsche Boxster, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Handles and runs the best. A pure joy to drive. This is how a car should run and handle, hands down!!
Cons: Repairs and maintenance can be a little pricey, but look at what they're for. If you can't afford a $150 oil change at a dealer, you shouldn't own one.
Overall review: Exotic looks. A bargain for more fun than you've ever had.

Zooom by Vrooom on 06/28/2007. Trim: 1999 Porsche Boxster, Owned 2 years.
Pros: it does everything you want it to do, and the front trunk has tons of room. The rear trunk fits a medium suitcase without trouble.
Cons: Don't get one with black interior, you cook and get sun burn in the summer
Overall review: I would get another Porsche

Best Sports Car Buy by DB Sacramento, CA on 12/20/2004. Trim: 1999 Porsche Boxster, Owned 5 years.
Pros: The style is great and performance is awesome. The car lacks in some interior quality, but the performance is all worth it.
Cons: Repair costs and the general price of everything. Every time I speak to a mechanic or repair person, I always here "the Boxster is different and is more expensive to fix". Additionally, the interior does not have much in the way of flash (i.e., woodgrain, etc.)
Overall review: Don't buy a Boxster if you are seeking luxury. This is not it and is for the person/driver who wants the performance of a true sports car.

My Boxster spends more time in the dealer for repairs than my old 1990 car by Aggravated owner on 06/10/2003. Trim: 1999 Porsche Boxster, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Very stylish outside, good brakes. That is it
Cons: I do not understand how other people can rate this car 8,9 or 10 when the interior is so cheap that with normal use everything breaks from the radio buttons to the hood latch. A week does not go by without something breaking or the check engine light on. I spent more time in the dealer than in my house and the repairs are very expensive if you run out of warranty. I recommend it to you only if you have time to spend in the dealer and trust me you will be there.
Overall review: Is a nice car in the outside. Needs lots and lots of improvement in quality of the materials used for details.

Porsche needs a wake up call! by 986smith on 03/15/2003. Trim: 1999 Porsche Boxster, Owned 4 years.
Pros: With the an 18" wheel package and that mid engine design, it' on rails up the hill and through the curves.
Cons: Can not buy engine parts from dealer. You have to buy the whole engine if past warranty. Interior features are a little econo. Everything with Porsche seems to be a-la-cart and it's not cheap.
Overall review: Soon to become a classic like the 356. The soundtrac from the Boxster motor will make you think your flying a jet powered tanning machine. Lots of fun to drive and own. The after market options are endless to personalize your Boxster.
