An Alright Sports Car by ABC from YV, CA on 08/22/2011. Trim: 2000 Pontiac Firebird Coupe, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: I'm writing this for the 1999 base 3.8L V6 being that I can't update my original review. MSN needs to work on being able to update your original stuff. Anyway, the Firebird has awesome styling and has pretty good pep for a V6. It looks faster than it is, but the base lacks in power. If I were Pontiac, I would've made the base at least 250 or even 300hp. If a car is going to look that good, it should have alot more power under the hood!
Cons: The base 3.8L V6 only maxes out at around 119mph top speed. That's pretty weak. The base should've had more power for a sports car... at least 250hp. 200hp with 225 lb/ft torque is very weak for a base sports car.
Overall review: A nice looking car with some pep but needs more power. Electronic issues also like the stereo system and headlights. I understand it's American made, but it could've/should've been better.

2000 TransAm by An MSN Autos Consumer on 03/28/2007. Trim: 2000 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Coupe, Owned 2 years.
Pros: It has enough power and looks great, t-tops are nice in the summer.
Cons: The brakes just don't feel that great, and you can't take it through high pressure car washes or you will get water where the t-tops and window meet on the door.
Overall review: I think its a great car for the price, just have a second car for winter months if you have snow.

Overcome Inconveniences, Excellent Overall by HWYSTR on 01/30/2003. Trim: 2000 Pontiac Firebird Coupe, Owned 3 years.
Pros: One of a kind styling, excellent body and interior fitment, outstanding braking, refined SEFI V6 performance & economy, excellent driver confidence & road feel, many available aftermarket parts, and an affordable price for today's performance cars.
Cons: Windshield pillar blind spot large, entry/exit cumbersome, questionable hatch area panel fitment, interior noise on the high side, POOR POWER WINDOW OPERATION, premium sound overpriced/poor dollar for quailty ratio, and limited rear seat room/access.
Overall review: Excellent car overall. Great looks, performance, and good comfort. Braking and handling on the top of the list for american cars.
