A zero compromise car with performance, economy & reliability
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/28/2012.
Trim: 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT Sedan.

Pros:
Had my '99 Grand Prix GT for 8 years now & love every minute behind the wheel. It has sharp sleek styling, very comfortable ride especially on long trips, excellent performance & handling, excellent fuel economy (22 city-34 highway), excellent reliability. has been virtually problem free. The performance upgrades available from ZZperformance, Intense & wbodystore which truely wake up the cars potential.
Cons:
Intake gaskets developed a leak around 90,000 miles. That was the only issue I ever had. The transmission could use a 5th or 6th gear.
Overall review:
An all around great performer with a balance of performance, handling, economy & reliability. With regular maintainace this car will easily outlast anything on the road. A 5th or 6th gear in the transmission would greatly enhance performance & the car would easily achive 40+ mpg. Shame on GM for discontinuing the 3800 v6 and Pontiac

Pros:
This car is an excellent car. My dad owned it since 40k miles. Now has 256k miles and still running strong. When you get up in this kind of mileage you have to start doing repairs that you don't want to do, but hey....It's the best car I've ever owned in my life.
Cons:
Tranny went out at around 80k miles. Sunroof leaks. Radiator always has problems (even when i buy new). Airbag light always on from bad sensor (replaced 2x).
Overall review:
Buy it if you like a fast, long lasting, reliable car.
