Good car but watch out for the expensive hydraulic lock up in them by Wiccabeauty Indiana on 03/28/2007. Trim: 1999 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight Base, Owned 2 years.
Pros: It rides smooth and handels really well.
Cons: I had to do a complete rebild on the manifolds because the radiator fluid leaked into the manifold and then int othe pistopns and then into the exhuast system. Completely KOed my car for 5 months and so it sat. Would have cost over 1800.00 to fix it but I found someone who knew how to redo it old school but cranking the car by hand. it cost me 475.00 instead. Be careful with these cars though.
Overall review: I love my car but wish I didn't have to worry about it having a hydraulic lock up again. Was very expensive and time consuming.

Almost disappointed by Long-time Olds Owner on 03/30/2004. Trim: 1999 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight 50th Anniversary, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Luxury leather interior and comfort features. Getting long life from Michelin tires.
Cons: Wind noise, and mileage less than 20 mpg winter in town and only 26 mpg summer highway travel.
Overall review: Loved styling when introduced but now is dated. Depreciating faster than expected.

Not your fathers oldsmobile by Jason from Illinois on 11/30/2003. Trim: 1999 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight Base, Owned 3 years.
Pros: Great car! I've had mine for 3 years with really no problems. Great acceleration, very stylish for a large car. Great gas mileage.
Cons: It seems to be difficult trying to find a good volume level on the radio. Its either too loud, or too soft.
Overall review: Buy one today! You won't regret it. I wish GM still made them.
