Keep on looking by Richard B on 11/14/2003. Trim: 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette GLS Extended, Owned 4 years.

Pros: Nice ride. Nice looking van. Very roomy
Cons: problems with Power windows, power door, and load leveling systems. Major engine problems at 72,000 km. Rust arround back hatch with less than 60,000 Miles.
Overall review: Oldsmobile has made some great vehicles - but this year and type sure hasn't been one of them.

Awkward by Plumberboy2 from Oklahoma on 05/04/2003. Trim: 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette GL Extended, Owned 2 years.

Pros: I love the comfort of the Leather seats, A/C, and the quite smooth ride. I like the removable seats and large cargo hold.
Cons: I've had nothing but trouble with this veichle. The windows would not work properly for 1 year. It took the deal 5 times to repair the warrenty item and also made me pay the deductable 5 times of $50 each. It took them a long time to get parts in to repair most of the other other problems on the car. I think that is GMC's fault though. I also did not like the removable seats, very awkward to remove. The dash and cup holders were cheeply made.
Overall review: The van is a very comfortable ride, but the ergonomics of the tilt steering wheel is a bit award to drive. The seat are awkward to remove but I like that you can mix and match the seats and make it into a large sedan, with a high roof. :) But over all I think that the car was cheeply made for a high price for what it is worth.
