Pros:
I like the exterior styling compared to the previous Pathfinder. I think that the interior could have used some revision along with the outside. Aside from routine maintainence, I have not had a single problem with the Pathfinder.
Cons:
The engine power is weak compared to other SUVs in its category. I think Nissan definately needs to give it a 5-speed automatic transmission to improve acceleration and to eliminate the hesitation between shifting of gears. The interior dashboard styling lags behind the updated look of the exterior. I don't like the way the rear seats fold down. They need to lay flat.
Overall review:
If your looking for a trouble free SUV with slightly below average performance, then its perfect. On the other hand, If you need performance and a more refined look, then look elsewhere.

Noisy but fun

Pros:
Easy road handling. Comfortable.
Cons:
Noisy a/c. I have limited visability in side rear.
Overall review:
I like the vehicle & would purchase another if the a/c noise is corrected. There are no vents in the back seat. Also, no speakers in the back of the vehicle.

My Pathfinder

Pros:
It handles good, runs good..Interior still looks new....no trouble at all. Change the oil every 3,000 miles. I have had it for 10 years and hope to get another 10......Love my pathfinder..

Nothing....

Ultra reliable SUV

Pros:
My pathfinder has 146K. Aside from routine maintenance, I have replaced the clutch and also the drive shaft (the U-Joint went bad and Nissan does not service the joint so the whole thing was replaced). It's been a great car, very reliable. Love the way it looks. I have installed front and rear grill guards, mounted off road lights, and have BFG all terrains. I have been very impressed with the overall quality and dependability.
Cons:
The 3.3 lacks pick up. Mine is a manual which helps, I especially notice the performance issue when there are 4 people in the car. 180HP for an SUV this size is on the weak side. What's frustrating is the gas mileage is on par with other cars that have 240HP. Also, with the manual, at 70mph the RPM's are 3200. Going 75, RPM's are 3500!! I don't know what Nissan was thinking.
Overall review:
Overall, great buy. I love this car. I'm not a fan of the 2005 and up models. I'm hoping Nissan releases an all new pathfinder soon because the new ones look more like station wagon.
