Pros:
great design, handles very well.
good gas mileage,
Cons:
Good first car, only OK acceleration.
Not bad for a 4 Cylinder, but not a mans car...
Don't plan on having more than one passenger, no one is going to fit in the back seats...

Pros:
The car is great to drive. Responsive and agile, although a little rough on bumpy streets. After 70,000 miles I haven't had an major drveline issues and it doesn't show any signs of any coming soon. Mechanically (engine and driveline) I'm completely happy with it.
Cons:
The paint is horrible. I have the black and, as I have noticed on other black Eclipse's, the sun is eating right through the clearcoat and Mitsubishi won't do anything about it (it started at about 40,000 miles....just out of the factory warranty).
Major AC issues. I've had it in twice (under warranty) and this is the 3rd Texas summer in a row it has gone out. Black car + leather seats + no AC + Texas summer = never another Eclipse. Although its a blast to drive, the lack of manufacturer support for obviously shoddy materials will definitely steer me away from another Mitsubishi. Paint issues on a 5 year old car with today's technology is inexcusable.
Overall review:
For what I paid for this car I could've gotten a Prelude and known that I'd never have to put a dime into it other than regular scheduled maintenance. That should say it all.

Leather seating, comfortable driving. Excellent power, great stereo system with 4 disc changer, cool look
