The best Mercedes S-class ever by Edmond on 07/06/2012. Trim: 2000 Mercedes-Benz S500, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: I have a 2000 S500. The car is fantastic. It is very smooth and silent. The back has a great amount of room. When you drive this vehicle it makes you drive more. The sun shade, sat nav, and seats are great. The rear seats are standard while the front seats are heated with lumbar support. The engine has a good amount of power. I can truely say that this vehicle is pretty good on gas. The COMMAND system is very good. Everything is put in order. It is a Fantastic car.
Cons: Now the down side of it.It is very big and to hard to park in small spaces. When it comes to repairs it is expensive. Some options not standard like massage PULSE,distronic, ajustable rear seats, and private rear ventalation.
Overall review: Very advanced car. Nice to drive. Also very good price. Unlike Bmw 7 series it is good for long trips and dosen't over heat. A very nice car to have.

A Dream Car by Buckeyebiff from Geogria on 04/21/2009. Trim: 2000 Mercedes-Benz S500, Owned 10 years.
Pros: Almost everything! I still look forward to driving everyday. Great car for extended trips. Even on 10+ hour trips you arrive fresh and relaxed. It's like sitting on the coach watching TV.
Cons: GPS was state of the art I guess in 99 when I bought the car but now it is a joke.
Overall review: Excellent car. If you maintain it to MFG specs it will give you years of dependable service. Service is expensive but a whole lot cheaper than the payments on a new one.

"NICE.... BUT PROCEED WITH CAUTION"!!! by wubro1 on 11/17/2009. Trim: 2000 Mercedes-Benz S500, Owned 4 years.
Pros: I must really have to say, this car is very beautifull. Lots of looks, so get ready for the attention... If thats what your looking for.. You will get just that!! Very comfortable vehicle, smooth riding, handling... Very good, no complaints.... I drove mine from Seattle, Wa to Atlanta, Ga with no problems.....
Cons: What i "didn't like" & i say "didn't", because i dont own it any more.. & This is why... It very expensive to own, yes, i knew this when i brought it... But, it got to be one thing after another.. I know, people may say, "it's the driver", but iam very cautious when i had this vehicle, i never parked by "anyone"... The windshield cost me $800. & that wasn't factory!! The cd player went out, another $1,000.. The pump went out on the doors, another $700... Tune-up's, $400 to $600.... Oh then the AirMatic went out on the right front, $2,700!!! Then you must only use premium fuel, they dont run right with anything less!!! Brakes all around, over $2,000... I quit after all of that!!! No more..
Overall review: Don't get me wrong, iam not "bashing this vehicle", it is a very nice driving, handling vehicle... I did "love it"... But i wont EVER, buy another Mercedes.... I'am very happy with my Infiniti M35!!!
