Please red this !!! by Michael Daytona Beach, FL 32118 on 11/16/2006. Trim: 1999 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor, Owned 5 years.
Pros: As long has you have it warranty things are fine.
Cons: Everything, takes q week to two weeks to get it fixed, have the dealer has to loan her a car, last time it was the a/c went out had to remove the dash and everything.
Overall review: Thi car is great as long has its covered under the extended warranty of regular warranty. But after that its major exspensive. Every 10,000 miles has to be serviced about $500.00

Car Right for Today's Gas Prices by Surf City on 05/08/2012. Trim: 1999 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor, Owned 2 years.
Pros: C 230 Kompressor (turbo) handles extremely well, classic styling, reasonable gas mileage: ideal sedan for stylish woman, and as touring car: Handling is much better than I thought and as good as my S Class: leather quality is exceptional: Great engine - turbo makes big difference on CA freeways
Cons: No automatic passenger seat
Overall review: Very good car with big car ride: Ideal with high gas prices: C class is a luxury car without luxury car price: Good value for used vehicles: Find vehicle from older woman.

Mercedes Rust Bucket by An MSN Autos Consumer on 08/22/2006. Trim: 1999 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor, Owned 6 years.
Pros: The overall driving feel/performance
Cons: Rusting away very aggressively. Car is only 7 years old and almost every exterior panel has a lot of rusting, especially on the seems. Taken well care of. Washed frequently. Few friends own same car and also are experiencing extinsive rusting. Mercedes Benz refused to acknowledge the problem. Their claim is that the car is out of warranty. It is clear to me now why this company has the worst rust protection warranty (4 years). Two other major German car companies offer a 12 year warranty on rust.
Overall review: For a car this expensive, I was hoping to get at least 10 years out of it. It looks older than it should at 5 years and now at 7 years I am strongly concidering getting rid of it well below market value. No one wants it with this rust and no respectible body shop wants to repair it. There claim is that it is not reparable and the sheet metal needs to be replaced. The is cost prohibitive.

A German Tank! by JJ in the Atl on 11/16/2010. Trim: 1999 Mercedes-Benz C280, Owned 4 years.
Pros: I've had this vehicle for 4 years now and have only had to put gas and oil in it. One of the last REAL Mercedes C Class cars built like a sherman tank!
Cons: Could use a little more power, but it is adequate.
Overall review: Excellent car
