Pros:
STYLISH, COMFORTABLE AND NICE TO DRIVE. POWER IS ALRIGHT AND IT IS VERY WELL THOUGHT OUT IN IT'S ENGINEERING AND DESIGN.
Cons:
THE WARRANTY HAD A CONFLICT ON THE SUPENSION HYDRALICS, SIMALAR COMPONENTS ON EARLIER MODELS WERE COVERED. IT WAS PRICY AT OVER $2300. PARTS AND LABOR. I FIND THE VEHICLE PRICY ON THE REPAIRS, (ANTENNA MASK REPLACEMENT OVER $200., HEADLIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT OVER $70. THE LENS IF BROKEN IS OVER $600. I HAVE REPLACED THE FRONT BRAKES AND ROTORS (I BELIEVE OVER $600) IT IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER REPLACING THE REAR PADS AND ROTORS. THE ROTORS SHOULD NOT NEED REPLACING IF THE PADS ARE CHANGED REGULARLY I THOUGHT. MY OLDER GERMAN MADE VEHICLE IS LESS EXPENSIVE REALIZING APPLES TO ORANGES IN MAKE AND MODEL..

IN COMPARING BEFORE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE I DIDN'T FIND THE FORD, LINCOLN, OR GM PRODUCTS WERE AS NICE FOR DIFFERENT REASONS MAINLY THE LEXUS SEEMED BETTER BUILT. THE NAVIGATOR HAD MORE POWER BUT WAS NOT AS NICE. THE ONE VEHICLE I REGRET NOT COMPARING WAS THE ESCALADE WHICH SEEMS POPULAR NOW BUT IN COMPARING MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS I STILL FEEL QUITE COMFORTABLE WITH MY PURCHASE. I HAVE HAD ONLY A LITTLE OVER A YEAR OF EXPERIENCE AND I FEEL THE REPAIRS ARE A BIT PREMATURE FOR A QUALITY VEHICLE BUT REALIZING THINGS CAN HAPPEN AND NOW THAT THE REPAIRS ARE DONE AND I CAN BASE THE RELIABILITY ON MY OWNERSHIP I AM ANIOUS TO SEE THE RESULTS.

The LX470 does it all in luxury. You cannot really do better if you want a large SUV. The price is a little extreme, however.

Pros:
I owned 3 MBZ (suv, e-class, roadster) and my son's BMW (X5) but my wife and myself love to drive our LX470. She said it's big but she felt safety, real quality and luxury. Since I bought this SUV I had no problem all these years. I love the suspension so comfortable and the engine so quiet. Gas milleage of LX 470 was far better than my previous trucks(expedition n F150). I love my MBZ roadster and e-class but safety wise and comfort I take LX470 a lot better.
Cons:
After 11 years, the only problem I noticed was the leather seats at front starts to worn out (cracks).
Overall review:
I love this SUV which is very exceptional compared to others. A kind of pricy but you will get all the benefits you paid for and surely you call it your baby.....
