high maintenance

Pros:
When the 4 wheel drive system is working it works very well
Cons:
Four wheel drive system is vacume operated. I had have the front knuckle kit replaced four times because the vacume sealed failed after about 6 months. Finally I Had manuale lock -outs installed. Now the system is dependable bu a pain in the neck. Kia would not replace the system on warranty or recall. Trepairs were $500 each time. The transfer case failed and had to be replaced at a cost of $750.
Overall review:
Make sure you have this vehicle chacked by a mechanic that is familar with this system before buying it.

Great car for very little money.

Pros:
I just got it last weekend from a wholesale lot for $1400, problems were listed on the sticker and very easy to fix. i found the 4 wheel drive didn't work but on closer inspection noticed the vacuum hoses going to the front wheels needed to be replaced, another easy fix. Very little rust anywhere on the car. the mechanic working on the brakes said the undercarage looked almost new. The interior is in great shape and so far i really like the car alot.
Cons:
the windows are very slow.

overall, well I only paid $1400 for it so for the money I got a really great car.

My First New Car

Pros:
I drove my Sportage off the dealer lot with 96 miles on it now almost 8 years later and 130000 mile I still love my car
Cons:
The window get scratched easily when taking off and on

Pros:
roomy-yet, compact
easy to drive and manerver
Cons:
shocks are not as good as other cars--bumpy ride
not a long distance car for travel

Ithink this vehicle needs to be more put in a garbage can because there are no do it your self repair book or parts in store for this vehicle over all performents of this vehicle is none but the style is ok but the repair part suck because i like repairing my owe vehicle i am sorry i got one.
