They don't come any better by Old Bear on 03/01/2010. Trim: 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport, Owned 10 years.
Pros: Always wanted one, got rid of 2nd wife and got Jeep. Less trouble, less cost, better ride. Will go anywhere, climb trees....It's a big boys toy and all kinds of fun, take off top and doors....handles great, easy to park, a dream to work on for those of us "mechanically challenged", even makes me look good. Bullet proof.
Cons: Has 4.0 L V-6. Added CAI and tuned exhaust....great increase in HP. MPG suffers at 16 , anyway you drive, all day. No side mirrors with doors off....but what th heck, all around visibility is pretty darn good. With rag top on is like being in a bass drum and it's a little short on cargo space...solved with small utility trailer....now hauls anything. Better / faster than any ATV
Overall review: If you can get by without frills there is nothing better. Years of fun and reliability in a dynamite package. If you have'nt owned one, like the saying goes "It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand." Buy one and all will be revealed !!!!!!

Fun reliable handy by Hooksetter in Nebraska on 05/10/2009. Trim: 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Short wheel base allows me to get into tight spots with my fishing boat. Simple yet reliable, easy to work on and maintain. Off road capabilities. Great torque and overall power. Just handy and fun. Safer than a motorcycle in the summer and you can take your dog.
Cons: Need to get mirror relocation brackets or buy some that go into the hinge when the doors are removed. Gas mileage could be better but for the off road capabilities it is a good trade off. 17 in town, 19-21 highway
Overall review: I have owned a Blazer, Trooper, Explorer, Suburban, and a Land Cruier. The Jeep Wrangler is by far made better for the off road. If it had hands and feet it would climb a tree. If you are looking for bells and whistles, go buy a pretty boy machine that you plan on trading in soon because they will cost you a fortune down the road. Why buy an ATV when a jeep is slightly bigger and street legal. I think the new JK Jeeps have to many frills and are to large. The 2000 and newer TJ in a 5 speed is a bullet proof 250K set up if maintained properly.

TESTOSTERONE by R from Cambridge on 01/12/2008. Trim: 2000 Jeep Wrangler SE, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Utilitarian extraordinare, reliable, cool history, testosterone enhancer, chic magnet...need I say more? Oh yes...MADE IN USA!
Cons: MPG could be better but with some enhancement (legal) here and there, MPG can be improved to 22-25 HWY.
Overall review: This is my 5th Jeep and 2nd Wrangler...I have the fever...no turning back. Life is Good!

A convertible with four wheel drive - it's perfect! by Lovemyyellowjeep on 06/27/2004. Trim: 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport, Owned 2 years.
Pros: I've had my Jeep for two years and I absolutely love it! If you are expecting a smooth, quiet ride however, you are looking in the wrong place. This is a bouncy ride with the wind blowing in your hair, which is why it's so damned fun! I've never had to fix anything on it. It has never gotten stuck in the snow and I've towed all my neighbors out when their wheels were just spinning. This little baby will go absolutely anywhere you take it, and you can configure the top in a million ways - topless, doorless, just a bikini top, soft top with the windows in or out.....you name it! You can't take the doors off your Blazer, that's for sure!
Cons: I think they're a little pricey, so I bought one two years old. You can't take it to an automatic car wash any time you feel like it if the appropriate top isn't on. Taking the hard top off is a pain in the arse and you need a place to store it all summer. There's no secure storage with the top off for anything too big to fit in the center console or glove box, so you have to buy a cargo lock box or drive straight home to unload. However, none of these would prevent me from buying another Jeep!
Overall review: People that bought this and THEN complained that it was noisy with the top off, too bumpy, didn't get 30 mpg, and made other similar complaints crack me up! What were they thinking?!?! That it would be like driving a Mercedes? This is a serious off-roading machine that just happens to be my favorite daily driver ever. Oh yeah - and I'm a girl! : )
