Pros: The worst van made-totally unreliable.
Cons: Too many problems and NO starts. The 5.0L engine fouls spark plugs and knocks real hard on hills.Engine leaks antifreeze at intake manifold when cooling off. Dealers can't fix anything, they can only change oil and screw you over royally. Worst piece of crap made today.
Overall review: Totally unreliable, have the tow truck's phone number handy, get ready for lots of excuses from the "dealers", after 13000 miles the engine has hard knocking noise on hills, leaks antifreeze at intake manifold, fouls spark plugs every 1000 miles, need to push hard to stop the piece of crap, it's a good dog house.

would like to give it back by A CarPoint Consumer on 04/26/2001. Trim: 1999 GMC Savana Cargo Van G1500, Owned 2 years.

Pros: gas mileage is nice. brakes well and handels well in traffic
Cons: The interrior is made cheeply. The handels to role up the windows are in a bad spot to get to. The exhaust on the van has a horrible rattle they can't seem to fix. I've had mine for 2 years and still have the problem! I bought a new car because it would be less trouble. I now think it was a bad idea!
Overall review: As far as running good it seems ok. I just think when a working person has to invest that much money in a car, in which they have to send so much time in, it should be put together better. With the working person in mind this just isnt my idea of a fine American peice of machinery. Not to mention the rattling exhaust. I had always heard nice things about GMC but I think my 1st new car purchase has changed my mind.

Overall review: I'm very pleased with the quality of my '99 GMC Savana Van and with the quality of the Gulf Stream Conversion. The interior space is excellent. The 5.0 V8 provides very good power.
