Trim: 1999 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCab 4WD, Owned 10 years.

Pros:
GReat TRuck, I've had so far for 10 plus years, no major problems, Has 156,000 miles.
Cons:
Gas Mileage, That 4.0L is a great engine but driving 60 miles a day, really like to eat up the gas, and the max gas per tank fill is about 250 between fill ups
Overall review:
TRuck is great, had it is holding up well, Starting to show a little age, but overall it is a excellent truck

Great Little Trucks!
by Andytalex on 12/24/2012.
Trim: 1999 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCab 4WD, Owned 4 years.
1
Pros:
Excellent handling,
Great ground clearence,
Low Maintanence,
Comfortable (front seats),
Acceptable HWY MPG ('99 3.0 Flex)
ABS works awesome in snow/mud/wet roads,
Decent towing for a compact pickup of its year (1999) (high torque),
Cons:
No skid plate under front end before 2000,
Really light rear end,
Terrible back "seats",
Horrible City MPG ('99 3.0 Flex),
ABS non-existant on dry surface,
Under powered acceleration (1999) (low horsepower),
Overall review:
Great compact pickup with excellent features and an affordable price. This is the third Ranger I have owned ('89, '94, '99) and I would buy another one in a heartbeat. Though I would be sure to get one with 4 doors or at least the 3rd door, getting things or people in and out of the rear of the cab is slightly less then easy at times with just the 2 door model. Buy a ranger, you wont be dissapointed!

Best Little Truck Around

Trim: 1999 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCab 4WD, Owned 2 years.

Pros:
This little pickup could haul just about anything. I took a full size refrigerator and range over 1,000 miles in it without a problem. With the 4 wheel drive off road package, you can get anywhere even when the snow would keep most people home. The ride was extremely comfortable, for the short trip to the store or for a long road trip. Even with over 180,000 miles, it was a dependable vehicle for whatever you needed it for. If I didn't need the full back seat to transport an infant around, I'd have kept it.
Cons:
With the Flex Fuel engine, the fuel mileage using E85 wasn't the greatest. I also don't like that I don't have this truck anymore.
Overall review:
If you have a chance to get one of these that's in decent shape, do it. You won't regret it!

Pros:
I have a manual and it shifts very easily. the clutch is super easy to push in. also the jalepino green color is awesome. everyone compliments on how much they love the color. its comfy for just two people and for long drives.
Cons:
the only thing i didnt really like was that it has little weight in the back so unless you have 4 wheel drive, you have to be careful in slick weather.
Overall review:
this is an amazing truck! if it wouldnt be for the fact someone T-boned me, i'd still be driving it. it was very stylish with the step side and the original chrome wheels from when we bought it. its very dependable and has good gas mileage.
