Great little car.. by 2000 Dodge Neon Owner from PA on 02/26/2014. Trim: 2000 Dodge Sedan, Owned 8 years.

Pros: For the price its a great car.
Cons: Not a whole lot to complain about.
Overall review: For an economy car, it can be fun to drive. Definitely quicker than other cars in its class for the model year thanks to the way it rides in the curves. It is like any other car that is 14 years old; if you maintain it and take care of it, you won't have any problems. Alot of the comments seem to be negative because of a crash in the snow or something along those lines. It is FWD, if you have snow tires on you can go just about anywhere. I bought it in 2006, it is now 2014 and I have never had an issue with it. 125k + miles and this thing won't die, and it has never left me stuck. Test drive one, you'll know..

"An excellent vehicle" by Neon owner from NM on 11/12/2013. Trim: 2000 Dodge Sedan, Owned more than 10 years.
1
Pros: We've had our 2000 Neon since it had 20,000 miles on it. It now has 184,000 miles and still runs like a charm! Original everything except belts, etc. The key, I believe, is keeping the oil changed every 5,000 miles and doing proper maintenance. For a car that was probably considered a throw away when it came off the assembly line, it's been an excellent vehicle. Did have to have it repainted several years ago.
Cons: Not really much negative to say, except the original paint job sucked.
Overall review: It's been an excellent vehicle, and I'm sorry they quit making it.

A Total Lemon by Owner of a Chrysler/Dodge S*%!box on 06/03/2009. Trim: 2000 Dodge Sedan, Owned 5 years.
1
Pros: Looks decent enough for a small economy car and gets me to work everyday.
Cons: Nearly everything broke on it before 100k, including but certainly not limited to the transmission, belt tensioner, radiator, door locks and air conditioning. It has cost me a fortune in repairs and has detoured me from buying domestic.
Overall review: Seemed like a good deal at the time but now I know otherwise.

NEON say 'HI' by An MSN Autos Consumer on 04/20/2009. Trim: 2000 Dodge Sedan, Owned 10 years.

Pros: more comfortable than a corolla or a civic. pretty strong acceleration and great in handling (especially on the big curve on freeway). great performance! cute appearance and great paint!
Cons: if u don't respect car or don't wanna take care of a car, buy a imported instead! proper maintainese make this car last forever (oil and oil filter change, spark plug, transmission fluid, rarely coolant flush).
Overall review: nice and fast car. i have this car for about 10 yrs. it is pretty reliable. never had any major problem like engine or transmission. just changed the radiator because the wrong pressure cap put by some tricky garage blown it up. it's a car that is fun to drive. also the car will grow ultimate if u do put some nice mods on it!
