2000 T&C" LXI 10,000 Mile review
by Lars from Shoreview MN on 06/05/2001.
Trim: 2000 Chrysler Town & Country LXi, Owned 1 year.
1
Pros:
Handling with optional trailer package makes a huge difference in cornering capability
The 3.8 L engine has much better low RPM punch w/o sacrificing mileage
Infinity sound system is excellent especially with the 5 band equalizer and changer options.
Cons:
Door Fit up is sub par with multiple trips to the dealer to fix wind noise, rattles and closing force requirements
Brake Rotors exhibit a repeatative warpage issue. Brake pedal effort too high.
Plastic wood trim is too shiny and fake looking
The 3.8 L makes a drone/hum noise under load where the 3.3 did not.
Overall review:
Nice People and Cargo Hauler especially designed for long trips.
