Great Pre-Owned Value by Alex, Iowa on 01/06/2010. Trim: 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Excellent bang for the buck, especially as a pre-owned. Definately performs above what one would expect given the pricetag today. Had some minor mechanical problems, but I purchased mine with high miles (130,000) and it lasted a long time (40,000) before anything came up. The problems were minor, i fixed them on my own (cheap repairs!) with no previous car experience and simple instructions and tips found online. Fair price, easy and cheap to improve on your own. I've done a lot of fun projects with mine, learned a lot.
Cons: Selling it seems like a big loss, the sell value is lower than the worth. Definately a buyer's car. City milage v.s. highway is rediculous, i'm happy i do mostly highway driving.
Overall review: I would definately recommend this car. When i got it, i just wanted to pay it off and trade up. Now i'm serious about keeping and caring for this car. She's my "brown sugar"

Really Nice Mid Size Sports car by Carl Moodispaugh on 02/21/2002. Trim: 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS, Owned 1 year.
Pros: It has excellent handling, fuel economy and enough power for todays cars. While not a NASCAR power car, it does hang with the dawgs!
Cons: It should be rear wheel drive and a V*!!
Overall review: Excellent buy for power, economy and style. Not for family but for a young or older couple.

would not recommend by Ozzy from michigan on 02/04/2008. Trim: 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, Owned 8 years.
Cons: As soon as I hit 70,000 miles I've had electrical problems with turn signals, starting, and fuel gage.
Overall review: If GM can't build a car that can last at least to 100,000 miles,I can see why they are losing market share. They care more about the dollar then anything else.

My Monte Carlo SS by Mike from Wisconsin on 03/29/2005. Trim: 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, Owned 6 years.
Pros: Stylish and sporty looking car. Everyone I know wants to drive it. It corners excellent and has a decent acceleration to it for a 6 cylinder. Truly lives up to Chevys' slogan of being the heartbeat.
Cons: I'm not a fan of 6 cylinder engines or ABS brakes so my reply to this is a little biased. Although, even with these features I was totally impressed. Also the styling of the rear taillights could have been different. I don't like the fish bowl effect.
Overall review: If Chevy could take this car and stuff in a turbo charged 350 V8 and rear wheel drive they would outdo even today's Shelby Mustang! How about it Chevy??
